Ok, so i checked into the obx header on ebay and decided that it was at a decent enough price buy. so...being the impluse shopper that i am, i quickly slapped down the card and ordered it. now i'm just waiting for it to get here and i'm wondering if anyone can give me a runthrough of what tools i'm going to need and how exactly i'm am to go about installing the headers myself.
man, the one from Ebay doesnt come with the midpipe, I even called and asked, so you are kind of screwed.
ugh...OBX headers are kinda, how should i say this...crap ? a friend of mine put a 240sx OBX header on his car, and the shit broke in less than 2 hours of driving.

it does not come with a flex pipe. check the bottom of your car. The exhaust manifold has a built in cat. Right after that built-in cat is a flex pipe. The header does not come with a flex pipe.

see the flex[ible] pipe (silver braided) just before my ECV? Well your muffler shop will have to have to put one-- that's assuming they'll even install the header for you. It's not legal for a muffler shop install it, so good luck

i emailed obx about it so i'll let you know what hey say when they respond. on ebay it says its a direct bolt on. so i asked obx if this is true ore does it require a flex pipe.

Well, my dad who thank god happens to be a tech for toyota and has done most of the work on my car has said that he will figure it out and that he had done the same thing to another car, so hopefully it will be all set away for when it comes in. Atleast i don't have to shell out any money for him to do the install.

So i ot it done well kinda. They installed it took along time. the fitment of the header to the block is great, the bracket that bolts it down is off by like half an inch so they just tack welded it. I can feel the power it is awesome. i'm lovin it the only problem is they were tring to finish up the install and it was later in the day and we still had a bad exhaust leak. so they let me take it home today, and i gotta bring it back tommorow and they are going to have to redo everything. at no cost to me of course. Now I don't know how the draxas header is because well i've never seen one in person but I dont think all these people should be bad talking obx because the header is great for a fraction of a cost. My exhaust is like 3 times louder know it sounds great.

Sweet man. Sucks that it doesn't fit directly but it's no biggie. I'm hopin' it shows up at my door some time next week and my dad can get it fitted right. Where was the exhaust leak coming from? From the Block to the header or lower? You gotta' post up a sound clip and let me know how loud it really is.

man i don't kn ow how to post a sound clip. it's not leaking from the block its leaking from a weld on the flexpipe.if you can tell me how to post a sound clip i will.

already spent the money on the obx header. if i'd of know it was for that price shipped i'd of bought it instead.
putfile.com should let you post the clip. just record it as a movie, and put the file as a movie, as long as it's got sound it's fine by me.
