I'm reverting my car back to stock in order to purchase a miata.
I found one semi-locally that I can get for 800 but it's wrecked.
I'd rather spend time repairing it than to buy one fresh because I'll have a chance to learn more about the car.
My budget will be $3000 for a running car, it doesn't matter if there's dents or no paint.
I'll be building an autox car but not limited to any class..

I have no idea of the extent of the damage, can anyone guess about how much would it cost to repair it?

Again, it'll be a race car for autox so I wont need a new rebar, headlights, or ac lines.

so far, I figure a new hood, fenders, bumper, radiator... and fab up some radiator support bars might do the trick.

That'll be a ton of work to repair as it looks like most of the front unibody is rather badly banged up. It's hard to say wheter or not the strut towers are unharmed or if the sub-tray is tweaked.

Skip it.

Keep looking. Watch Craigslist and GRM. Cheap Miatas come up all the time ($<1500). IIRC, there's one on the GRM board right now.
