View Full Version : Some stalling....
Okay so although my FMIC has been on my car for a little bit, today was the first chance i had to actually kinda drive it a lil hard to see what it would do. Well it stalled on me.... it did kinda a sputter and stop boost, then quickly die thing. I figured maybe a pipe had busted loose, and i was right. I recconnected it onto the throttle body as best i could with my trunk tool kit at 3 AM in the crab shack parking lot.... and it seemed okay. Boosted a lil bit and it was fine. Got close to my dorm and it did it stalled again, i don't think it was under full throttle even. All the pipes were fine this time, though. After i couldn't find anything wrong i went to start it and it cranked right up, and i took it and parked it.
Any ideas why it would stall again??

Did you reset the ecu after the pipe popped off?
hrm, no.
Am i correct in thinking the best way to do that is disconnect the battery and then step on the brake a few times??

Mine experiences no stalling...however...mine would stall on me a couple of times a day if I let it. I hope that makes sense. I've found that with no BPV installed, the car wants to stall if I give a quick, light stab of the gas at low speed with an immediate lift afterwards. Now I keep it from stalling without any real thought on my part. Barring any obvious leaks, see if the same thing doesn't happen with you.
i've got a BPV right now though. My setup uses an aftermarket BPV from boostsciences, no BOV yet.
