I went to the track last night and could not go under 15.32 sec on the quarter mile.I took a Speed almost stoke(6psi,C.A.I.,hiflo cat 2.5" line) and we had a .246 sec difference(shocked) .
My set up is:C.A.I.,catless 2.5", AFC split second,11lbs boost, hard pipping.
I was shifting at around 6000 rpm...
Can someone tell me what's wrong with my set up,or is it me that can't drive.(cryhard)

Well i have close to the same setup as you can see in my sig. I went 14.2 on street tires and 13.8 on slicks. It would seem to me you have a mechanical problem, unless you really cant drive....j/k. I shifted around 6200 rpms. MAke sure there is no boost leak anywhere. Also dont launch hard spinning tires do nothing for you. I launch around 3,000 rpm. Just to give you an idea. Any more questions just ask.

Hi,i try not to spin to much...anyway for my driving, last week i was on the track against one of my friend(RX-8) and i beat i'm by a car lenght(twice) on the 1/8 mile.
So you think i should check my turbo for leaks?
How can i do that...where should i start looking!(dunno)
Should i put it on a dyno?

Make sure that all your clamps are tight. That would be where i would start. Also this might sound strange but the split second afc has a supermap for stock boost 8lbs, and 10lbs. I found that running 11 lbs i went a little slower. Try turning the boost down to 10psi and see what that does. Also if you have a boost leak you will see it in your boost gauge. If it holds 11psi your ok. If it falls through the higher rpms then you may have a leak.

I'm positive that i don't have a leak, cause my gauge remains at 11lbs and my clamps are nice and tight!I will try to lower my boost today.
Thank's for your help!(2thumbs)

perhaps the afc is unloading to much fuel causing your car to run a rich fuel mixture which will greatly slow your acceleration. Are you still using the stock sumpermap because it is programmed to run pretty rich. I have the same setup including the afc and I hit low 14s at the track with a shitty launch so maybe the track isn't prepped very well.

I know that i'm running rich...cause my muffler tip is always black. The map as being flashed cause there's a sticker under the hood that says "reprogramed"
So my best option would be to run a dyno....

yeah what is your 60'. last time i went to the track on stock rims with crappy kumho's i was averaging 2.2' which isnt too bad, a really good launch will put you at 2.1' but ive found the best way to launch our cars is at about 3000 rpms and just lightly feather the clutch and slowly raise the rpms as you feather it out. it controls wheel spin alot. any launch higher than 3000rpms tend to wheel hop the car bad. then one you get going and feel your good just mash the gas. but im running 8.5psi, open exhaust and intake and i ran a 14.0 @100 on a 70degree day. and also what was the temp outside when you went. trust me it makes a big diffence. i went a month ago and it was 11:00 at night in pheonix and was still 108 degrees out. yes hot. it was dead so i just kept running and running without cooldown and the stock sidemount and plastic piping was burning hot and could only manage a 14.9 and trapped only 93.5mph. Yes its that much of a difference. it was miserable and everyone there was saying they were running over 1 second slower than they normally run during cooler nights. Crazy, btw it was 122 degrees during the day that day. oh and im a very good driver. over 5 years of drag racing experience.

It wasn't to hot last night (around 75 degree)...My launch is one of the problem cause i rev over 4000rpm.A other thing one of my friends told me to shift at around 6600 rpm, what do you think about that is it to high or it's proper.

no i speed shift each gear and i take it all the way to 6900. right before the rev limiter in first and second and then to about 6700 in third gear. Yeah man just work on the launch. its a big difference in times. rule of thumb is every .1 off your 60' is .2 off your quarter. which is true because when i would hit a 2.3 60' on that hot night i would run 15.1 and then just getting 2.2 60' i ran a 14.9. no difference in shift pattern or anything like that. trap speed was the same.

When i did my 15.32sec my 60' was 2.478....So my launch is really bad!!!

yeah that hurts. just practice man, yeah its funny when i can sit there and outlaunch newbies with rwd muscle cars by 1.5-2 cars before the 60' mark. It makes them mad. haha

O yeah! you got that right.I'll keep you posted on my next runs.
One thing is for sure,i need to put my speed on a dyno and tune it cause i'm pretty sure that it's sucking to much gas.

man i love my speeds gas milage, i guess its high because im still on the stock ecu. i usually get 30-32mph intown and gotten up to 41mph on the highway. usually get 37-39mph highway, but a cooler day and long trip to oceanside, cruz down the beach a ways and then all the way back to yuma, az and still had gas left. i think it was something like 455 miles on a tank and still had some gas left.

In the summer time when i'm driving my car at normal speed the most that i do is 310 miles(500 kms) on a tank(shocked) .
And your telling me that your doing about 700 kms on a single tank.
I have a serious problem with my A/F mixture.
