I recently gave this new member a review on the "rate your fellow members" thread. I thought I'd post this up for those of you that don't already know about her recent selling antics. Those of you that have also had trouble with this new seller, post up your stories. Here's my story:

She's a new member so I'll cut her some slack, but a lack of selling experience doesn't account for what happened.

I bought her stock msp radiator and radiator fans-- I need them for a build I am currently doing. The build was at a hault until I could get these parts so I jumped on it. After she agreed to send the parts via Fed-ex (which is what I payed for), she sent them via USPS parcel post-- the slowest and cheapest way you can possibly send a package anywhere, and pocketed the extra money. It took 5 business days for the parts to get here. I could have driven to her house in 40 mins mind you.

The second nightmare was the packaging or lack thereof. The radiator was shoved (literally) diagonally into a vaccum cleaner box much too small to accomodate it. It was sandwhiched between the two radiator fans. There was nothing (not even so much as a piece of paper) protecting or separating the parts to prevent them from hitting against one another. As a result, the radiator has a whole host of sizeable dents in the coils, including one the circumference of a baseball from the fan backing. Not a member I'd buy from again.

Id like to talk to you about getting a partial refund. The packaging or lackthereof caused damage to the radiator. It is obvious that you carelessly shoved parts into a box too small to accomodate them. In addition you did nothing to protect them from one another.

Secondly, I paid for shipping via Fed-ex or UPS, not USPS parcel post. It took 5 business days to move a package less than 50 miles-- that is pure ridiculousness. My build has had to wait another 5 days thanks to that.

You need to start responding to my PMs or I will get the moderators involved.

That wasn't a threat. I think a partial refund is due. USPS will not cover the damage and the radiator is dented and cracked-- therefore it can't be used.

I purchased a MSP ECU from this user. The transaction went quite well. I never specified which mode of shipping I wanted so she sent it USPS Parcel Post. When I recevied that package it was wrapped in 3-5 pieces of printer paper. 2 of the corners on the harness side were slightly damaged where it had hit something or been dropped. I'm just hoping nothing on the inside was damaged.

I had paypal until my ebay account got pirated and I had to shut it down and close out my paypal account. I had to close it for security reasons because the two were linked.

I guess since I did buy something from mandafay51 I should put in my thoughts. I did get the turbo and s-pipe, but not the mani. The parts were boxed ok with lots of crumpled newspaper, so I cant complain on packaging. She said that she thought we only agreed on the 2 things, but you can clearly see for yourselves that I even posted in the FS thread when and what I sent the money for.

We did agree to a full refund and I will send back the parts, but she is kind of slow getting back to me. For her part I do undersand that she is having lots of complaints to deal with right now, but I think the faster she sends the money then thats one less problem to deal with.

I hope I and everyone else can settle there complaints fast, because I dont want this to get realy nasty.

the best thing to do is to plug it in and drive it till your car reaches 500 mile's that's when the ecu learn's and if theres something wrong with it you would no buy then.

I do biochemical/molecular bio research in washington D.C. full time. That's where I am now. I had them shipped to my permanent residence in Chester county PA-- she lives about 40 mins from there. Regardless, confrontation I think would be asking for trouble. I'll just let Zath handle it for now...I've got faith in the guy. He's come through for a lot of members on this forum. If he can't do it then I'll start pursuing options.

For what it's worth she was supposed to hold onto the ECU for me for about 5 days (until payday) but she ended up selling it to Rogue before then. Manda, the problems that have come from here are for four main reasons - 1. You didn't specify exactly what was up with the sale i.e. turbo, s-pipe, etc. 2. You weren't organized so people didn't know what was going on. 3. You packaged things poorly resulting in damaged product. 4. People have been scammed on this forum and are afraid of it happening to them.

When this happens, people start to get worried. It's their money they've invested, and suddenly they are worried that things are going sour quick. It's perfectly natural. Put yourself in their shoes - imagine buying a car part, waiting a week, only to find that it's been busted while shipping. You'd probably be a little upset, too.

This is your first sale, so obviously we can't expect you to be perfect right off the bat. Please take this as a learning experience so that next time around things go smoothly :). I'd be glad to give you some suggestions if you'd like.

The reason I bought the parts from you was not that I needed them right now, it was because I thought I would be getting a very good deal for the mani, turbo , and s-pipe combo. If I thought you were giving an ordinary price for the 3 parts I would have waited and probobly not bought the parts from you, but instead get them at a later date when they would be more needed. We did agree to the 3 parts because I asked you for the price with all 3 parts, then I asked you how the condidion of the manifold was, before that when you still had the ECU I asked about the whole package price (4 parts). When the ECU was sold, I contaced you again asking for the new price. I even posted in your own thread what I sent the money for, and you didn't post that anything was wrong about it.

The thing is, that we did agree, and the price isn't crazy bad without the mani, but I thought you were in a hurry to get rid of the stuff, so I bought the 3 parts thinking it was a good occasion to do so.

I also went through alot of work trying to accesory parts for the turbo setup that I bid on or was going to buy taken care of, since you told me that you would refund the money.

You cant go on changing your mind as you see fit, there needs to be somekind of order so that other people know what they should do also. Lets just take care of this fast so there are less problem for the both of us.

Damn. Sorry to hear everyone got got. My manifold was packaged really good. Lots of crumbled newspaper. I dont understand, the cast iron stuff comes with tons of newspaper, but the fragile stoff comes with printer paper. Anyway goodluck getting your refunds or parts.
