As a sedan it looks much more like Protege than a 3. More conservative. The rear fender flares are probably part of the "deguise," as are the two different wheel styles. Narrower (shorter) headlights, like the 6 has. And are those built in fogs like the 6? I can't tell. 'Course they look like they're about to fall out too, so they're probably not attached too well.
I also don't see the whip antenna on the rear of the roof.

look for a lot of changes in the production model, esp those rx8 headlights.

Now that you mention it, it does! I knew it looked familiar, just got my models confused. :D
look for a lot of changes in the production model, esp those rx8 headlights.
Those are 8 headlights? Hmmm.

I wonder if there is any chance Mazda would make it RWD to be more competitive with the Infinit G35, BMW 3 series etc. Or if they will follow in fords footsteps and offer FWD standard and AWD as an option. Just a thought.

I wouldn't mind FWD with an AWD option.. I think RWD would honestly make it compete too much with the RX-8. It would be nice though. You can still have plenty of fun with FWD though.. Mazda has proven that to me.
