CD-Player Problems

I have a 1997 Mazda Protege LX, and my CD-Player keeps spitting CD's after it seemingly attempts to read them. Has anyone had a similar problem? Or know if it is possible to fix or replace the CD-Player in this car?

This is the MAZDASPEED Protege section, which is probably why no one saw this question (or they ignored it). Your LX has a completely different radio.

Anyway, your radio is probably toast. You could try using a CD cleaner but most likely, the lens is out of alignment due to hitting potholes. It is cheaper to get a new one from the junkyard than to attempt to replace it. You can also use this as an opportunity to upgrade to something better, perhaps with MP3 support.
