I've been researching a couple new mods for my 3 and I was wondering if any of you have had any luck with locating and installing them.

First, I was hoping to find a set if higher-power ignition coils to boost my engine performance. Who's had luck with upgrading the ignition system in their 3? What products did you use? I've been looking at MSD's products but I'm not certain that they have what I'm looking for.

I was also hoping to find a limited-slip differential kit for my 5 speed automatic transaxle. Peg-legging it just isn't cutting it and I was also hoping to cut my 0-60 time by putting in a more aggressive final-drive ratio gear. Same as above, has anyone done this? What was your experience? Do I have to look for a 3 specific LSD or is the transmission interchangable among other Mazda/Ford/Volvo products?

Thanks!

ignition coils do NOT add power, there's many threads that discussed that topic already

no one cares about automatics in the import performance world, so you can give up right there if you want to find an LSD for your car

there are some auto guys running some performance tranny parts but i believe its all to strengthen the tranny for boost applications not so much to make it quicker..

Wow. Ok, i think he came here for advice, not for someone to cut him down. Actually there are plenty of high power import automatics that can do some damage, it's not just the MTs that can have all the fun. There is a quaife differential on corksports website, but i believe it's for the manual tranny.

Any chance that the ring, pinion, and carrier are the same between the MT and AT?
