View Full Version : surging under full throttle 3rd gear

Our new 7 has 600 miles, and under full throttle through third gear from 3500RPM + it seems to surge. Like boost is going from 10 to 15, back to 10 ect..

Its not HUGE, but it is noticable. The surging is about as strong as when you turn on the AC and you feel the hit. (on and off, though)

Any ideas? No CEL yet...

ps. The temp outside was 97, but I had the AC off and windows down.

Is there a TSB on this flash or a flash number to show the Dealer as opposed to walking in and stating my CX-7 needs a PCM flash? (uhm)

Question....Why are you going full throttle from 3rd with 700 miles on the car. At least give it a grand to break in...

my car had 20miles when i banged on the rev limitor. Break in easy is a myth and can acutally hurt modern engines by not allowing the rings to seat

thats how all race engines are broken in for best performance and least amount of piston blow by.
