I was looking at putting flames on my 03 p5 & wanted to know if anyone else had done this & how it looked. I was looking at putting them from the body moulding down on the sides. They sell some pretty cool decal kits but would perfer to paint. Want to do somthing cool but suttle.
Anyway anyone else done or thought about it

There is a guy on here that has one of the baddest ass lookin red P5s on the forum that has ghostish or suedo flames or the implication of flames. I think he goes by smurfedP5. You'll know it when you see it. Subtle, cool just what you are talking about it seems.

I don't care if you want to put flames on the car it could look good. The thing I would be concerned about is what type/style of flames you get put on. Every painter does flames different, I would do a lot of homework to find what style of flames you like and a painter that has done that syle. The other thing is color choices. I agree it's more of a hot rodder thing when it's like purple flames on a yellow car sort of thing but if they are ghosted or a slightly darker or lighter color it could look good.

Again there are so many different kinds of flames and color combinations, it's whether you can get it right. I am not generally a flame fan myself but it's generally cause the ones I saw looked ugly. The style on the pro5 above didn't look bad but I didn't like the color.

The style of the flames above look perfect but I would do a very faint ghost flame definately not so bold. Just a hair off from the color of the rest of the car. Definately go in with a picture of exactly what you want!!

the flames on the red p5 look good because the front end and the back end of the car are still the same color. I don't like flame jobs like the white p5 because of the full color change between the front and back...too bold.

Are you kidding? I'ts the best looking P5 I've ever seen!Well, yes & no. It's kinda like women, how the hell can you decide on just one that is the best looking when so many qualify. Too many that are best for different reasons in different ways. Same way for cars for me, I just can't pick one favorite.

sure, flames are cool on any car. Even on a late 80's Mitsubishi Mirage/ dodge colt.

The flames are even cooler when they're pink!!
