Hello all,

Just purchased my Laser Mica Blue 2003.5 MSP about a month ago. Was told about this site from a friend. After driving a LOT of cars, I fell in love with this one on the first drive. Had to drive all the way to Virginia to get it but I love it.

The car is stock as of now...... actually more like negative stock (someone took the stock system out of it including the amps/sub and stuck me with a pioneer DEHP1600 which has been replaced). oh and theres an intake on the car that looks to be the wrong application... so Im replacing that.

Anyway Ive already planned mods as of now.....

Performance:

AEM CAI
HiBoost FMIC
HKS SSQV BOV
Catless midpipe/exaust (havent decided)
Denso IK22 Sparkplugs gapped @ .32
EBC/Rotora (have decided) rotors and EBC greenstuff pads

This isnt everything I want but just want I know Im getting as of now... so please pick me apart... make suggestions... anything... one thing Im worried about and this was mentioned to me by my friend (whos an auto tech.) was that if Im not running an upgraded turbo I may end up with more lag by running the FMIC (because of the extra volume) ....he suggested I just upgrade the SMIC. I havent found anything to prove/disprove this.

Oh I also have to fix a dent on the rear quarter panel that my friend dented (with his ass) otherwise the body is in excellent condition.

anyway, been lurking for a while... decided I would post and say hi.

Congrats on joining the club! Good question on the FMIC. I'll hopefully be able to give you some feedback soon. I dyno'd stock as a baseline, then again after the Vibrant exhaust, CAI and better SMIC. (The package gave me 26 whp.) I have an Ion FMIC I picked up in the F/S section and will dyno again to see if there's any difference. I'll also be paying attention to any difference in driveability. I'm betting I won't see a huge difference until I throw higher than stock boost to it.

Just get a SMIC unless you plan on upgrading the boost, etc.

well... I was planning on running a few more... nothing over 10... probably 8-9psi max.

keep me posted MrDiggler Id like to see how the dyno goes with the FMIC

If you are only pushing 10psi, do yourself a favor and get a SMIC.

ya 10psi with fmic is overkill get smic if you are staying around 10. If you need 12+go fmic.
