Im thinking about keeping the stock 18's for the winter and upgrading to chrome 20's for summer use. Has anybody done this yet, and do i have to worry about anything? I do have the tech package so what would i need to do to make this work.

Well Charles I would choose something that would be around stock size or one size bigger and then lower the car with springs.

My plan is to mount RX-8 wheels (18x8) IF I can verify the offset will work with the CX-7... no larger than the stock wheels, just a tad more aggressive

Keep the 18's, go 19, or up to 20's

Think about 20inch tuner rims on a CX-7 with an aggressive lowered stance (not slammed)...a la cayenne-esque...I like that sport/tuner crossover look ;)

Not to offend your taste, but it seems like you just depreciated the vehicle 5k less. (omg)

Well I personally would not get anything bigger than 20's cause I care more for performance than looks. However I have to agree with you, the CX-7 would look sweet hunkered down on clean 20's. And definately not Chrome. Chrome is old news.

I took this the other day. I almost went in to get it. But they added 4k for the wheels and tires. But damn that's clean.

These are 20's right?!?!?
Very nice, but what a rip off(pissed)

http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e377/Z_Monzter/CX-7with22s.jpgYou could very easy find rims and tire combo like that for around $2000. Im in the process of doing that now :)

Of course, when you go with those big ol wheels, you need big ol brakes too. So far, not a lot available for us.

Cool man, thanks.

And for those of you that are on the market for some wheels, here is a website that's got every chrome wheel that you can dream with (good brands that is).

http://www.wheeldealersdirect.com/wheelsbybrand.php(first)

If anyone get some wheels please post pictures and the wheel specs for the rest of us to have ideas.

For example, the factory wheels are 7.5 inches wide. I would like to know how wide can you go with the CX-7. Of course that depends on the wheel off set as well.

I am planning on putting my factory 18x8 350z wheels to see how they look on the CX-7, I will also plan on trying my RH J5's that are 19x9 off set +26 in the front of my car. If I try all this I will take pictures and post them here to give others ideas.

Unfortunately I bought the CX-7 for my wife, so is in her hands to decide if she wants to spend money on some wheels for her SUV, I have enough with the payments. My money goes to my Z and I just spent over 3K in my 19's two months ago.(shocked)

These wheels are sick, but unfortunately they are concept wheels so you can't buy them.

the design is very similar to the production ones, just a bit larger and a lot more 3-dimensionality

yep - im going to invest in a new set of sensors, to make swapping for the winter months back to the stock rims easier (that way, no dismounting of the rubber just to swap the sensors - an extra $400 up front, but way worth it IMO)

as soon as they're installed, i'll post the pics...

go with chrome and bigger is better. i think you gonna have fun in the truck no matter what size, weight, or finish. and i don't think anybody is going to be auto crossing the cx-7 all the time.
