I want to personally Thank RaiderMP5 and icespeed as well as all those who VOLUNTEERED to organize and manage this event! (thumb)

Despite the weather and a few setbacks (as with any event)...It seems like everyone had a damn good time! I'm sure if I had been able to make it all the way from JAPAN...It would have been totally worth it!!!

I'm very proud to see such an event spawn from this community. I look forward to sponsoring the next Mazdapalooza meet!

One of these days...I WILL personally fly in and meet you guys!

See you then...ZOOM ZOOM (first)

Very good turnout. Weather was bad for about and hour or so. Then it went to good old sunburning heat for us whitey's.

I dont have and exact count but I got in about 15min before it rained, and I was car #97 at that point. About 3 rows were filled with cars. After the rain, the lot just filled up. If I had to guess, 125+ showed, possibly more.

The number I heard was just under 130. Pretty sweet turnout.

Yeah, other than the typical Florida tropical weather I had a great time with new friends and family there! And the Award for one of the other than mazda catagories was a Very appreciated suprise! Dammit, you realize now you guys are now motivating the Demons in me for spending MORE money on the Brick right? And for the record, may it be said that even if you have a shunned Domestic performance car, love can be shown in many ways. Thanks!

I heard "holy shit man, check out that Buick" several times. Actually, I heard people calling others to check out many vehicles at the meet. I am glad it turned out so well.

I suppose I can try to say that Iw ill never, ever, ever, set up another meet(something I have said afterI set up a few other meets), but I will stay on because I love how everyone got together, and how much fun it was. We will have a meet. "Mazdawinterpalooza Weekend...Shorts in January" is the title I am giving it. Give me a few weeks to unload from this huge venture before threads start up for it.

Antoine and Street Unit, thank you so much for sponsoring this event. Without your help, this would have not been as good as it was.

Yup, the sponsorship for the forums and SU made trophies for a FREE (for all who attended the meet) car show possible. Without their help, we would have not been able to do what we did.

Thanks again to all the sponsors, and we can start planning in a few weeks for the next meet. As for right now, I have several hundred pics to sort through, as well as pics to receive from the main photographer, then get posted. That will be fun!

Congrats on an outstanding showing of Mazdas...I see you had a little downpour...we shurely need some of that here in TX. In comparison our show was blasted with 100+ degree weather...cooking everything on site.

I really wished I could have made the trek (2thumbs)

The meet was just perfect for me. I loved being surrounded by people who love mazda's just as much as I do. Next meet never fear I will be there, and my wheels will match. Thanks to Raider, Street Unit, and Icespeed for organizing such a great meet. I also can't forget thanks to everyone that came out and last but not least thanks for not ripping on the different wheels to bad. See you at the next one.

I was walking by when someone asked "Is that a Grand National?" You said "No it's a T-type." "Oh, so it's not a Grand National?"

Its officially called a Buick Regal T-Type. Most people just call it a Grand National. My brother and I still argue about this because I just call it a GN. Meh, same thing....

now he's probably going to call me and give me a hard time. lol

Just wanted to echo everyone else's responses: Meet was great. Location was great too. Thank you goes out to ALL the sponsors for Mazdapalooza 06. Would of been good if it wasn't so hot and/or rainy, but good to see a lot of familiar faces. Will have to pay attention to name next time because I didn't see too many nametags. But overall, great meet. Can't wait for the next one. Will be great to FINALLY meet you Antoine.

OK kids, after sorting out all the pics, here we go!
http://mazdapalooza.com/mazdasummerpalooza2006.aspx

I do need a little help. I do not have the sheet of winners, nor do I know who's car is who's, for who won what. Please let me know which pics are yours and what class you won if applicable. If you know who won, tell me, and I can update the site accordingly. if they won, I will move the pics to the top of page 1, the Winner's Circle. If your vehicle is missing from the pics, please go to the "Contact Us" screen, and let me know. I will try to find the pics, or email them to me. I know I am missing the MX-3.

if I missed your car, picture, or whatever, please PM me, email me, something. If you have pics not posted and you want them to be, I will need you to send them to me. It took a week to sort out over 500 pics. It is easier to receive them and then post them up.

Oh, awards pics are coming, do not worry!

Great job with the pics....your hard work paid off.

Whose black P5 is that in the roll out pics, with the rear windshield wiper giving the finger? Would like to know what kind of drop and tire/wheel combo they are running. The stance of the P5 looks soooo mean and nasty...I like it.

now he's probably going to call me and give me a hard time. lol

Iknow its an old thread...but dammit i'm bored!!!

Now now...I wouldnt call to give you a hard time sis...BUT calling to tease you that I'm at your FAVORITE Jamaican Patty store brings me joy to no end!(evil)

For the record YES its a "T-type" (for its touring suspension package) BUT since theyre much rarer than the flood of All black Grand Nationals its very hard trying to explain the cosmetic differences. in 1986 there were only 2,384 made and we came in over 100 GM factory colors with chrome bumbers, unique interiors, and badges. The cars are I-D-E-N-T-I-C-A-L powerplant wise to their sinister sisters Grand Nationals. Owners who wanted to stay away from the gawks and attention of the ALL Black appearance opted for the more subtle blues, whites, silvers etc. So you never know when at a stop light you might be next to one of these silent killers! And its because of my performance exhaust and cam I'm often mistaken for a big block V8. It's just a 231 3.8 baby V6! Even GHOST was all (omg) about how quiet these beasts are, racing at Moroso! "Nice SS!" or "cool Monte!" plagues me! I Often use the words GN or Grand National when replying to questions asked to what i own and drive...just SO much easier and the reactions of respect and recognition never gets old. (bow) lol. Just be forewarned I may turn a bit escentric on you when you ask if its a GN. (glare) But thanks for the attention!
