just lost control through a curve. the back end went out and then caught. went over a curb into a light pole, the car flipped on the back end where the back windshield is, spun around 2 down a curb and up over another one into a power pole in trunk where it finally rested. i walked away along with one of the passengers. my friend in the backseat was taken to the hospital with a cut on his head and cheek. he was released about 45 min later with glue on his cuts. we are all lucky and definately have someone looking over us.

Good luck w/ everything bro. I imagine you and your buddies are a little sore right now, huh? Happy to see you guys all were able to walk away. Been in a couple real bad ones myself, but not near the tumbling you all took.
Like I said, anytime I come through town, I'll let take this titanium sloth for a drive.:)
Let me know if there's anything I can do.

Side note: Anything you want to swap (FMIC, BOV, etc) for stock for insurance purposes, I'm just down the road.(yes) LOCAL

i will say that the car did hold up very well for what happened. 180 feet total from start to resting place going up to curbs and down one, through one light pole and phone ped. it rolled once and did 2.5 360's before it felt like stopping. i remember the whole thing cuz my eyes were open...WIDE OPEN the whole time. it sucks and it's scary, but it gives me a different look on life.

as far as salvagable parts.....really the only thing that would be good is actually the exhaust. it's the only thing that held up. but thats not worth screwing myself and taking it off to get a couple hundred bucks outta. but i do have a full mam fmic kit in my basement that i never did get to use and some defi gauges that were never installed, mam manifold that i haven't even got in the mail yet, and i have some carbon fiber interior pieces, and i guess stock parts if anyone is seriously interested i can get some pics on here and get them out the door.

1st off glad everyone was alright. Im also glad to see the Protege hold up so well. I cant emagine what that would of felt like, and to go threw it with your eyes open is also nuts.

2nd DAMN you must of been hitting that corner fast and hard, not just to break out the rear end on what apears to be good tires, but the traveling the car did during the wreak is crazy.

good thing you weren't hurt....

thing is.. theres alot there that can be salvaged..

gauges
pillar pod
greddy bov
some of those pipe someone would want. (cheaply enough)
battery should be ok
interior of the msp
shift knob
pedals
strut bar and brackets
someone was looking for a AC system
tires look like they can be taken off the rims

no offence man, but after a thread like this http://www.msprotege.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123641426 (http://www.msprotege.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123641426....barring)
....barring going down there and picking it up of the salvage lot.... who'd risk buying something from someone who displayed that kind of shady behaviour?? (if that side of the story is, in fact true) get that settled and then maybe you could salvage all that stuff... then again, maybe it's not worth it, as you said.

very true. the car is getting picked up off the lot its in to be taken and get appraised and see what the damage is. i told the guy about all the aftermarket parts and everything. i'm just gonna go off what the value of the car is and then see if it would be worth taking off some of the parts or not.
that should be resolved in the next week.

i don't have the car and don't want it back. i got the prices back on the cars damage and what it's worth and everything else. it books at $15,997 and then after all the stupid little charges and my outragous $1000 deductable, i'm getting a check for $1600 after the car has been paid off. then, on top of it, i'm more than likely going to get money back for the aftermarket parts on the car with proof of a receipt. so hopefully i'm gonna get a pretty good size check here within 3 weeks so i can start paying my attorney off. so sorry guys, the only parts that are going to be for sale are the ones that are just sittin in my house.

i just the got the last piece to the mam fmic kit today if anyone needs a fmic kit. if anyone is interested, i'll get pictures on here and more info on it

Let me know where it goes. Maybe I can work out a deal to pick it up. Not too sure my roommate/landlord would be so happy about another car in his backyard, but it may be worth it to me to sell parts or keep 'em for myself. My parents live right next door to you in CB and I can use their truck/trailer to get it here.
Kinda tight on ca$h, but either way let me know where the car ends up and I can at least give it a shot.

You got it. IF I am able to get the car.
Bump for you Matt, to let me know what you find out.(poke)

Thanks bro, hope your doin' ok and the insurance company isn't screwing you.

more than likely i won't get it back or be able to get anything off of it cuz they paid off the car and if i wanted it back i would lose the value of the car just to have a pile of metal in my hands. not worth it.

Glad to see you made it out of that mess alive. Props to car manufacturers for making cars that can pull through the accidents we get into.

I wouldn't worry about the car though, there are plenty up for sale and they aren't hard to find YET. 5-10 years down the road, finding one for sale in decent condition is going to be hard to do. Best of luck.
