Well it was time to trade in the MSP after 104k fun miles. I decided that I would rather have a new more comfy, reliable, nice, quiet, somewhat quick car. I love the MSP and it was hard to say goodbye, but after parting out as much as I could from it, it didnt feel like my own anymore anyways. I had a lot of good times in that car and will never forget it, I have so many pics that there is no way that would happen.

Ok so on to the new car, its an 06 Legacy 2.5i Special Edition. I didnt get a GT b.c I dont want a turbo car as a daily driver anymore, gas prices, and the cost of the initial payment. I got my Legacy for 10k less out the door then the sticker price on a GT. I think I did pretty well on the car price wise, although the MSP was worth more then they gave me, but what can you do.

The Legacy is Atlantic Blue, with Taupe interior. It is a 5spd with moonroof, power drivers seat, and a bunch of other crap that doesnt matter lol So far I have put in my own audio, Kartboy short shifter, and I have HID, F/R strut bars on the way. Anyways enjoy.

A visit to the dealership the night before I picked up the new car. We wanted a family pic of all 3 before I got rid of the MSP

The final drive and saying good bye. She looks kinda sad and very stock lol

The new car, so far I really like it.

I kept the Kenwood HU, amp and JL 10" from the MSP and they went in the Suby last night.

As well as my Kartboy short shifter, the stock shifter was like rowing a boat

Thanks.......I'm kinda sad cuz the new car has almost 500 miles on it already, It had 306 when I picked it up. I found out they are sending the MSP away to a wholesale auction, Hmm wonder where it will end up. It still has the Quaife, Spec Stage 3 clutch, springs, and slotted/drilled rotors. Someone is going to be happy I guess.

lol nah. I only got 5500, but it had 104k miles, 3 accidents, no wing, no front lip, and it was almost completely stock when I traded it in. I got a bunch off the sticker price of the car though. So that made up for the lower trade in.

How much was the subi?
I got it for $18,500 before taxes, ect. Sticker price is $24,009 . $20K out the door before trade, I ended up paying $14,500 cash for it. I dont think it was to bad, the GT I was looking at was $30,994 before taxes and such

They are nice...but....too expensive in my opinion. And I was at a local import show recently here, and at the drag strip, everything out there was faster than the Subies...especially the 06's.

I am not out for speed anymore, and If I want a modded turbo car I can grab the keys to my bf's MSP lol....I am moving to a different stage in life and this car is perfect for that. Thanks for all the compliments.

Oh and BTW I got this car for a little bit less then I paid for the MSP brand new lol

lol its ok, it made me think for a min until I read your next post lol. Yes I hope I do too, 3 accidents, 2 hoods, 2 mirrors, a headlight, broken LSD, bad wheel bearing and 2 cracked windows all in 2.5 years with the MSP lol. I still loved that car though, and never thought I would get rid of it.

Probably only going to do possible intake, exhaust- it has 4 cats YIKES, drop, wheels, and tint. The tint is being done on Tuesday, the springs and wheels probably wont be till after winter, like springtime I think. Going to keep it mild for a daily driver, I'm actually enjoying it as it is without it being hella loud like the MSP with no cats hehe

After riding and driving the Suby compared to my MSP, makes me want to get one myself. I would probably get the same trim level, just a different color. The MSP is quite quirky for a daily, not to mention the price of regular as opposed to premium gas. AWD is nice also. If I could afford to keep both my MSP and get a Suby, that would be my first choice, but that won't probably happen. Not sure what I'm going to do yet. I just wish Amy would let me drive the Suby more often...

If I had the choice I would have also kept the MSP as a weekend/project car but I didnt have that option. If you want to drive it all you have to do is ask, I was pretty good letting you drive it the first 2 days, except yesterday cuz I was in a driving mood lol . You get to drive it to work on Thursday remember , cuz the doggy isn't allowed in it and he has a vet apt lol

Congrats Amy on the new purchase. Glad to hear you will be staying around the Mazda family in any event so I'll get a chance to meet you. Any female who mods her car as much as you did the MSP is okay in my book!

congrats on the Subbie. i was looking at the Legacy before buying the Saab, but i just wanted a car with all the options, so the Legacy GT was a little out of my price range.

the Subarus are great cars, you will enjoy it.

Thanks, that really means a lot to me. I sort of have a reputation for trying to keep a clean car so its nice to know that other people see that too. The Subie will be equally as clean..
