New MSP Owner, Hi!

Hey people! Glad I found this forum. Already picked up a lot of helpful info on the MSP. Yesterday I purchased a Spicey Orange MSP. It has 41k it's totally stock and appears to be in tip-top shape. I'm kind'a new too the Mazda scene, so bare with me as I learn. I'm coming over from VW having owned many over the years. My last car was a 20thAE GTi. I would frequent the VW board (vwvortex.com some of you may be familiar with it), so I hope I have a similar experience here. A lot of helpful info and good people over there. Look foward to hearing from all of you. Again glad to be aboard! Txs.

Nice to have another member man, hope you enjoy the car...and damn what's with all the new spicy purchases?!? I'm jealous haha. I was going to get a Yellow 20thAE GTi a while ago with under 20k on it, but things fell through, gotta love the 6-speed! Once again, welcome!

Welcome. Pretty much everything I have learned about this car has come from these forums and the people on them. I don't claim to know a bunch, but I cannot even imagine what my lack of knowledge would be without these boards. Motor mounts, boost gauge, AEM WB, TEINs, and lets not forget my best mod to date, the spring mod, ALL came from the vendors and how-to threads here.

One thing I can tell you from my time at VWVORTEX (read a handful of threads over the years) is that we aren't nearly as critical here. Yeah, if you put spinning rims on your protege5 we'll call you rice for it (all in good fun), but man I've seen some crazy stuff on vwvortex. It's like they want to breed all vdubs to look the same.. all with BBS wheels and euro this and euro that.. booring.

Yeh! they can be a little critical over there on the tex. Never really got involved in any of that. Just hoping for some useful info on our cars and maybe some kindley banter:) Again Everyone thanks for the welcome!

Yea welcome to the forum........orange was a good choice......41k on the car not bad good luck with it, if you ever encounter any problems at least you have a whole lot of us that have had them too.
