what is this part?

I am in the process of taking out the stock sub enclosure along with the sub and amp. once i unbolted the rack i saw this black box that was wired and attached to the rack. is this part necessary for the alarm or anything? the only thing close to a part # is aaf15210b or 030224 or b26r66950b. i tried searching for these #'s and found nothing. please help.?1.?:)

thanks, i traced it out with a toner and found that it was the defroster. thanks for your help. :)
