Or at least i think it is. My car would not start a few times yesterday and i noticed the battery terminal clamop was loose. When i got home I took a wrench to it to tighten it up but te thing was already as tight and it would go. How would this thing get streched out like that and will I have to repleace the entire thing? I found that if i moved the clamp it around on the terminal it would get tight. O far its starting ok but it wont last once the vibrations start in.

I've seen this happen before. You might have to take the clamp off and "adjust" it to see it you can get it to clamp tighter, which is a major PITA. Another option is to squish it a bit into a more oval shape. The upside is that it clamps much harder (which is essential for starting), but the downside is that you're not contacting the battery post solidly all the way around. Good luck.
