You have to remember that all of those have been dicked over. Back when the MSP came out they started at what? 20K? Towards the end they were going for 14-15K? The P5 dropped to 12K. etc. It sucks, but i guess if you wait you have a chance at a good deal. I wonder if this will happen with the MS3?

Hey at least early adopters have been enjoying their cars al this time right. But this here is the reason I'm never the first to rush and buy anything. call me cautious but crap like this happens all the time.
Great thing for all those interested in an awesome car though.
If I were in the market for a new car, I'd be all over it.
I paid too much for my P5 used. It was an 02. I got it with 35k on the odo.
After purchasing an extended warranty, I paid about 11,500 (I know dumb move).

Actually the guy that said $3500 is correct.
It says and I quote" Mazdaspeed 6 $2500 cash to customer plus $1000 MAC bonus (1)(3). Maybe I am not reading it correctly, but I take that as the $2500 includes any other manufacturers rebates that might be going on.

you are reading it wrong because the speed 6 is 1 and 4 not 1 and 3. which 1500 customer cash and 1000 from mac financing. give a week or two and it will be 3500

It depends on the location where you buy to get the 3500. Major cities like DC/MD/VA has lower rebates because of cost of living is more and generally people make more money.

Doesn't say whether or not it's the Sport or GT.
This thread had me a little panicked until I realized that most of the good incentives are for the Sport and not the GT. Whew!

I actually just emailed Mazda corperate about a few things and I asked about financing. I was told that there is 0.9%/36, 1.9%/48, and 2.9%/60. That applies to either trim level as well as the cash back. It's a little confusing whether or not you get the $2500 customer cash back and the special financing or customer cash back or the special financing. Either way I believe you still get the $1000 cash back if you qualify.

Sorry I forgot to update.
I got another email back from Mazda USA and here is the deal you can do one of three things.
#1 0.9% for 36 months, 1.9% for 48 months, or 2.9% for 60 months on either trim level MS6
#2 If you qualify get $2500 cash back and finance through your own bank. Applys to either trim level MS6
#3 If you qualify get the $2500 cash back and an additional $1000 if you finance through Mazda credit for a normal interest rate ( you don't get the special finance rate). Again applies to either trim level.
For the longest time I was figuring my payment with my trade in, down payment, and the special finance rate. I decided to see what my payment would be if I financed through Mazda credit and got both cash back promo's. My payment would be considerably lower if I take the cash over the lower finance rate. I can even put a smaller down payment this way too.

i just went to the dealer last night. Black with chloth and nav, 30810 stk, 26800 selling price then another 3500 back. 24mo lease 385mo no money down. sounds like its a good deal. i had to trade in my mp3 tho, they screwed me on that, they said it was worth 4k!! i took it to carmax, they offered 8k for it. so i might own a MS6

Is this on a GT??? That's really low...
chuyler1
08-25-2006, 11:59 AM
This is the time to buy a new vehicle as long as you don't mind taking a chance they won't have the options/color you want. I watch the prices and they simply plummet every year just before labor day when the new models start to arrive on lots and dealers are looking to make space. If you wait any longer there won't be anything left and you'll get stuck paying MSRP on a new model year (or close to it).

Nope, Sport which is fine with me. I did want a moonroof though, oh well.
ZoomVT- If you lease, your monthly payment would actually be that low.
chuyler1- That's why I acted immediately. Got the color I wanted and even got a couple options I didn't really care about for free. :) The car comes well equipped with no options, so I wasn't really concerned with that.

Wow, great job! The only reason I don't feel bad about paying March price for my Protege5 is that it is loaded with every option (except the slush-o-matic of course). Next time around I'll wait it out and take my chances. But I really needed a car at the time and like many protege owners, I simply fell in love.

yeah im going to see what else is around my area but i cannot lease. i put around 20+ miles a year. so thats a no no.

well I went to the dealer yesterday and they had a red GT in the showroom going for 24,500 OTD. I test drove one and they car was quite fast off the line and on the turns but after getting back in my car, I like the interior of the Saab a lot more, more confortable and redefined.
I am going to go back this week so I they can tell me how much they can give me for the car and a price for a Sport, not GT, but unless they can lower my monthly payment, i won't be getting it.
