Hey guys im getting ready to install my corksport D/p and i know i need to take the exhaust manifold off to do it but i was wondering if the gasket would be reusable? Its only about 15K miles old so should i order a new one or will it be fine? thanks.

I'd say go ahead and get a new one just to be on the safe side. Exhaust leaks are nothing to play with.

I didn't replace mine when I installed the S pipe and I've had it off a few times now and I haven't had any issues with it.

It's just really a person to person thing. Some (like me) will say replace it and others will say reuse it. The only reason I say replace it is because I've had a leak from my exhaust manifold before and I'm just kind of wary of the whole setup.

yea ive heard u should replace any gasket u remove, just as a rule of thumb, cause while u have it off, its just easier to do, it may not cause a leak, but if it does u have to do the work all over again. why not just get it out of the way while u have it off? know what im saying..

Yea, i will have to call Mazda on monday and see if they can get it in before thursday cause its the only time ill be able to do the install in prolly 2 months. So if they cant i guess i will just reuse it.

They should have one at the parts counter. It shouldn't really be a hard item to get. Don't forget about Montgomery Mazda on here too. If you're local Mazda tries to charge you MSRP on it then get in touch with MM and they can probably get it cheaper for you.

I'm making my own gasket. I'm currently in the middle of putting on the CS DP setup too. I wen't to the local parts store and got a sheet of gasket material. The stock gasket seems a bit too small. Why spend all that money and the stock gasket be a bottle neck?
