whats up this is my first post, so dont take me too seriously. the turbo on the car is both oil and water cooled, so i dont think that a timer would do you a whole lot of good unless youre beating the everloving piss out of it. also, letting the car sit at idle just puts more heat on the tmic anyways. i just try to take it easy if i know im almost to where im going. of course i could be wrong tho.

Ok noted
I usually do let it sit for a couple of minutes, but like you say the TMIC gets heatsoaked anyway.
and even if I am away from the vehicle for 15 mins or so I still warm it up for a minute.
yea the manual says to let it idle for 30secs after traveling at highway speeds or uphill for an extended period of time

I have a turbo timer, but I haven't installed it yet. I haven't had a chance to do it yet.

Adding a TT will have no effect on the PATS system. Only thing you need to figure out is how to get the keyfob to work with the key running.
I usually just lock the door on the way out.
It is very simple to install.

The whole point of letting the car isn't to cool the intercooler, it's to let the oil cycle and cool a bit to keep from coking up the lines.

Not trying to argue, just clarifying the idea of a turbo timer. It looked like it was misunderstood.

Yeah I understand that the reason for allowing it to run a little longer is so as not to coke up the lines etc. So there is no misunderstanding.
i wasnt tryin to pick a fight just wondering if anyone had anything different to say about it...this thread is very informative
