So you have the same model and everything ?

How is the quality of DVD's/the screen ?

How is the sound ?

Did you put your radio pocket on top and the flip out screen on the bottom ?

Over all how do you like it ?

Nope don't have that exact model. Maybe this one is deeper. I do have a pioneer and like it alot. My flipout screen is on top and the dvd player I have is where the pocket is. I'm getting rid of mine because I don't use it. If you have people in the car with you alot its nice. Some of the new ones you can't play dvd's while the car is moving though.

It might not be all of them but the ones with GPS navigation. The older ones were hooked to the e-brake but you could get around that. The GPS ones haven't been figured out yet I don't think.

You cant watch dvds with in drive becuase it has to be hooked up to the e-brake but there are easy ways of getting around it. I would recommend getting a pioneer unit instead, it will be more expensive but you will get much better screen resolution and better sound, in addition to more features. Also do not get it installed at best buy, they will ruin your car. If you cant do radio installs go to tweeter or a car stereo shop.

"The GPS ones haven't been figured out yet I don't think." This is not true, I have a how to on how to get around it.

my Alpine has the parking brake disabler thing I hooked up so I can watch DVD's while driving. Search eBay. I am sure somebody makes one that will work with any model.

I just want a good flip out screen, that will play DVD's, while DRIVING, for not to much money.

You get what you pay for. If you want good resolution and good quality get a pioneer or alpine. If you want a crappy unit which will break within a few months and has poor resolution get some no name brand like duel. The only units worth getting are from pioneer or alpine (I like pioneers better). If you are going to get a tv get something that is quality and will last or you will regret it. There is no in car tv unit that lets you dive while the dvd is active without some sort of modification to it because it is VERY dangers and is against the law. So get a pioneer (in my view), or an alpine because it will be worth it, saving you money and lots of aggravation when your duel unit starts getting dead pixels in addition to when the motor which flips the tv burns out.

My mom had one of the flip out DVD players in her TransAm and she got around the e-brake thing by pulling the lever 2 clicks up (not the brightest idea I know). Also my old roommate had the exact same model as my mom (I forget the name of the company) in a Caprice and for some reason he had no problems with watching movies while he was driving. I don't have a clue how he got around it but he did. If I remember the name of the unit (or find the box to it) then I'll post the name.
