why not just get everything from mam? he makes his own fuel rails, manifolds, fmic, and is also now making pulleys. just trying to make your life easier.

They don't sell the manifolds anymore. Take it off your list.
They still sell manifolds, but the new ones are going to be a cast tubular manifold.
It will still be equal length, and flow very well. But the lead times on the welded ones is too long for most people.

is the manifold worth the $$$,they claim 25+whp,if its really putting down those numbers then ill spend a G on it
The manifold is defnitely worth the money, it just is a long process to build them. Thats why he is going to a new tubular manifold that is cast instead of hand welded. It will flow just as well.

Im actually in a situation were i dont know if i should buy an RX-8 or build up my msp,i bought it with 20,000 miles a week before i deployed to iraq, its been seating in a storage for 8months,but if im going to build it i want to make sure its worth the money, even though i think a 277hp msp would be bad ass the RX-8 keeps popping in my head

instead of a 8 You should look at MS6, those are bad ass cars and you get 4 usable doors.
The MSP is a great car, but if i could get an RX-8 i would...
To hit 277 whp on an msp you need ALOT of mods, and a lot of tuning.

see the MS6 its badass but there is something about the way it looks that just says luxury car plus for 33grand well thats pretty much leave me with no room for mods at least for a while, the 8 its badass to but i also have a 1st gen rx7 that could take a 3rd gen transplant with all the money i would spend buying a ms6 or a 8 but the 7 is in phila and im stationed in WA state.this is where my msp is at
Get the 8 with a greddy turbo kit and you'll have more power than most msp's

Ive been around rotaries for a long time.the numbers the greddy turbo kit is putting out is decent but then again theyre project car didnt have a ported engine.I guess itl all come down to weather im going to sign up again at the end of my next deployment(i really miss being a civilian)I compare the 8 and the msp everyday,Its driving me nuts i wish i could have both, but the rx8 its the one capable of 500hp+

so you bought a car before you left for a year so it could sit and depreciate, and now you want a new ride... not very good economics...
Could have been cash for mods

If i dont get the 8 i will have cash for mods, about 10 G's worth.I bought the msp with 20,000 miles and a blue book value of a lil over $21,000,so the car is sitting not picking up any miles how is that bad economics?Oh yeah and i only paid $15,000 for it(enguard)

because turbo positioning sucks...
They use a similar style manifold in the thumper kit...
