I was thinking about doing the perrin exhaust system, and was wondering if any of you guys around the forums have done that..i've seen and researched and found that ghl is a good one, but was wanting feedback on the perrin one..also what did u guys do about the o2 simulator when u removed both the cats..thanx

As far as the O2, I used the anti-fouler method and have not received a CEL yet.
Don't know if you know this for sure but, the Perrin is not a "true" turbo back" where as the GHL is. If that is what you are going for. The Perrin bolts right to the bottom of the J-Pipe off the turbo.

I'm running a Perrin DPback exhaust w/ a corksport dp to make it a full tb exhaust.
i love it. its very free flowing, you can hear the turbo thru the exhaust.
i will warn you, its very loud, unfortunely $106 too loud for my local authorities. i'll be welding on a resonator to keep her a lil more quiet =)

...I was thinking of this option myself. It bolts up fairly easy, no? Is CS offering the DP again, I just saw the full S-pipe on the website.

yah it bolts ons very easily. as of now this is the easiest option for those running the Perrin b/c Perrin has a 2.5 flange where it bolts onto the j-pipe... a perfect fit for the 2.4 in corksport downpipe.
it would not work with either the GHL or the MAM downpipe unless you cut of the existing flange and weld on a new one.
i don't know if CS still offers the dp, i bought mine new off a forum member.

I use the perrin exhaust hooked up to the stock dp. It sounds great!

if you throw on the cs downpipe, it'll actually make the exhaust a lil quieter haha.

Did you try it first without the cs d/p? if so, did you notice any improvements in performance? Thanks! I mean improvements after you installed the cs d/p.
P.S., is it really less louder with the cs downpipe on the perrin?

I really think you should check out and research the Vibrant its quite possibly one of the best exhaust systems for out car's aside from the GHL and ION but that is just my oppinion take it or leave it. I have a Vibrant on my car and have now for about two years and never have I had a problem with it. the welds are all roboticly done and the stainless steal is top of the line not to mention the whole system fits in perfect and is easy to install. The sound to me is bye far the best of any exhaust I have heard but some of that has to do with your mods. Belive it or not A intake or FMIC is going to change the tone a little bit so its really a matter of what you have or plan to have that will determine how well the exhuast sounds. another great and cheap mod to make the vibrant a full turbo back exhaust is the corksport s-pipe for $99.00.

i second that. i get compliments all the time on the deep sound. it is definitely the best aftermarket part i have bought for my car. check out *************.com for a great price on it!

The Perrin is really nice. But, for the price I believe that the Vibrant or GHL is a better deal.

I vote you buy my Apex setup from me :) See link below.
But Really:
Pick the exhaust that will make you happy, looks, sound, make sure to really find the one you like because it is a large purchase. Best of luck on your search and whatever you find I'm sure you'll be happy with it. Cheers!

I am looking to get an exhaust but i dont want it to be that loud especially for people who ride in the back of my car with me. Is the vibrant loud? Its 3inches correct? I used to have a custom 3 inch back with a 2.5 inch highflow car and i even put a 3 inch resonator on there and it was still very LOUD.

I'd say go custom, you can make it however you want it and if you have to modify it some more you wont feel guilty about it as it won't cost too much compared to the expensive exhausts.

VIBRANT 100% I just bought the vibrant and hooked it up this weekend. its allittle more expense $800 plus free shipping from protegegarage.com. but its worth it. it sounds increadable. the great thing about the vibrant is its pretty quite when ideling, its loud when you want it to be.

The Vibrant isn't loud with the silencer in it or you could do like I did and stick a Vibrant stealth muffler on the back to make it quieter and harder to notice.
