I bought a Type RS and it broke before I could even try it out. Luckily my friend has a Type S on his Project car that isn't running yet that I could borrow until i can get it returned and shipped a new one.

The Lock screw was stripped and as soon as I tried to adjust the valve Harder it popped out. Kinda annoying, but shit happens. I Like the type S sound now, so I think i may trade my buddy the new RS when it comes in.

i heard a few other ppl complaining about stripping the RS. I had no problems with mine so i guess i just got lucky!

So I called Greddy today and told them what happened and they told me they WILL NOT cover it under warrantee and they told me it was "user misuse" They were real assholes about it saying that it was MY Fault that the adjustment stem popped out when I only got maybe 2-3 1/4 turns out of it. The item was legitimatly a defect but they refuse to take it back. I argued(enguard) with them for a few minutes got frustrated and hung up.:bs:

So then I call *************** where I ordered it from and the guy I talked to there told me it happened to him as well as a few other people. He said it can be re-threaded with a new stem from Home Depot but it's kinda of a pain in the ass. He was cool about it and told me to take pics and e-mail them to him of the damage on the Item and he would call Greddy to try to get them to replace it.

My thing is this.... the Greddy BOV performance requires you to adjust that stem in order for the proper operation which means you have to adjust it. But Greddy says, as soon as you touch it, it voids the warrantee..... Kinda defeats the purpose if you ask me. Whats the point of the warrantee if you can't use it because the directions tell you to adjust that screw for it to run right. All in all, if you plan to buy this BOV for your MSP be careful because if you touch the adjustment screw your F'ed!

If they dont cover it, im getting the HKS SSQ.

Anybody ever try re-threading the Type RS? I had some trouble(Read above posts) and Greddy wont cover the part, so im gonna try to fix it rather than just bite the bullet and lose my money. If you have tried this and have any tips they would be appreciated. Thanks.
