I am thinking of buying these headlights. I posted in another thread but, no input. I have a 2001 mazda mp3 with P5 headlights, one of them has gotten fogged beyond recognition. They look nice but seem very cheap. I am wondering if anyone has experience with them as far as fitment and quality. Any help is appreciated!

Well people have opened them up to paint the bezel, so you can always dfo this clean out the area thats damp then close them up insuring thhe seal is good to prevent it from re-occuring.

My driver side is the one that is foggy, and as oppopsed to taking off my bumper and opening up the headlight I would rather just buy a new one. I like the chrome housing also. These seem like they are priced so low, If nobody has tried them I will and post a review.

BTW my passenger side light is fine, and when/if I buy these I will definately sell it.
Thanks!

I purchased these lights for $123.00 shipped. I will let everyone know how the quality and install is.

Get someone to wetsand them. And then buff it out with rubbing compound. They will look good as new.

I have the EBAY lights ... http://www.msprotege.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123635892 (http://www.msprotege.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123635892)

I like the look of them, they look cleaner and much better w/o the amber lense in there. The stock lights had been sandblasted from driving the NY highways for multiple years. No issues with aiming or anything because they mount perfectly where the stock units were. Good price, good part.

Sorry to bump this old thread, but can anyone describe how their installation of said headlight assemblies went? I just ordered some (black instead of chrome, based on the thousands of recommendations) and just want to get an idea of what I just got myself into.

You have to remove the front fender completely. That is the hardest and most time consuming part. After that, its pretty simple exchanging out the headlight. I bought clear sided headlights....looks just like stock without the amber

... and I definitely got into more than I can probably chew. Oh well, gotta build confidence somehow. Thanks for the info.

I would say, try and meet up with some people in your area that have done it before if you are not confident doing it yourself.

Haha, I'm definitely not at this point in the game. Seems pretty easy but when you start removing stuff you've never toyed with before, paranoia tends to get the best of you. I'll see if I can bribe some folks to help me out. I appreciate the info though, I'm not sure how I missed that How-To during the search.

wait are you taking your headlights apart or just swapping them? bc all you have to do to swap them is drop the front bumper.
