Just like the title says.......The first pic is right above the throttle body, and the second pic is just to the left of the first pic, note that only one is plugged up and having small hoses come from it. Is it supposed to be like this or should both be plugged up?

So should the left connecter be plugged up with the little hoses? I'm having lots of idle issuses, so im tryin to figure if certain things should be plugged up n whatnot

EGR Soleniod huh? When i took it to a mechanic almost a year ago, he called it the idle air motor, so everytime i looked it up on the internet or a book, i found nothing, but at the time i was told that was the code my CEL was throwing. He said i can replace the "idle air motor" or maybe the intake was just clogged with carbon. So i've sprayed several cans of seafoam thru the throttle body, which works for a short time, then the CEL comes back

if your having idle issues clean your EGR that is probably the problem its pretty common

I think there is a how-to in the how to section on it

Yea i did a clean of that back in january, maybe not a good one, but after i got the egr back on, i notice i didnt put the gasket back on as well...lol. so i do need to take it back off for the gasket, so i'll do another clean and see what happens

another question....the fan right in front of the cat never comes on. does it only come on when things REALLY get hot? The other fan comes on occasionally, but only for a few seconds then off again. This normal?

you are correct, it is the IAC, not the EGR
