Installing Endlinks...

I'm needing to install my AWR endlinks i just bought, but i've heard two differ ways to install them. Do i leave the weight of the car on the suspension like using ramps, or should i take off the wheel while on a jackstand with no weight on the suspension? Thanks

good luck removing those damn endlinks....Last time we tried it on my car and no luck..We'll try again this weekend with the help of some MOCC members plus pb blaster and maybe even an impact gun. =p

i don't understand why everyone has trouble taking the endlinks off, mine came off so easily, the rear al least, the front will be done at the same time iwth my Illuminas

i already installed the rear ones (AWR rear sway bar), the front ones had to be removed when the springs were changed

nah, i already have the springs on the car, just bought new shocks though

it's not worth it to take teh wheel off to install the front endlinks now, i'd rather wait until teh shocks arrive

I know why everyone has problems. If their endlinks are old, like mine were, they are rusted pretty bad for one and its even better when the internal joint breaks loose and it just keeps spinning when you try to loosen the nut :).
That is why...lol.

The rears endlinks are a cake walk otherwise... just roll car up on ramps and go to town.

fuck the ramps... its easier with the wheels off... put your car on the jack stands like you normally would.... remove the nuts from the end links (it's a lot easier to do that if you get a GOOD allen wrench to hold the stud still while you use a box end wrench to loosen the nut)... then get a block of wood and put it on top of your floor jack.. jack up the LCA (making sure you're NOT jacking it up under the brake shit!) and watch the end link... jack it up till both the studs are pretty much straight... then it wouldn't be hard to take both ends off at the same time... it might take a bit of force, but it'll definately be easier than just brute force while everything is pulling on the end link, and it's definately easier than crawling under the car with ramps
