why is everyone giving him such a hard time about this? If I would break a car by going rather quickly in reverse and then sliding it around, then it deserved to be destroyed...that is hardly beating on a car to some offensive degree...full throttle acceleration is way harder on the expensive stuff of that thing than just backing up real fast and spinning around...that just hurts tires, and eventually suspension bushings...wait till the guys that "race" often see what their cylinder walls look like...that is abuse...

I am not defending the racing or anything...It is just extremely ignorant to say "I am worried about buying a used car now" or something...you undermine the countless half-wits that go 15K miles with dino oil, without changing it once...or NEVER changing a manual gearbox's oil because you didn't even know it had gear oil (I seriously have witnessed this on a 130K mile car...owner wondered why it "broke")...chances are that dudes car is in way better shape that the countless current protege owners...the current ones that look at a protege as an A-B car...and don't give half a shit about it, except for if it is washed...people like that are why I am afraid of used cars...people that drive harder tend to at least know what the hell you need to do to keep a car maintained...

That doesnt suprise me, I ate up a MP3 last week from a stop light, he really thought he was going to dust me, but I over powered him kinda like in your vid. He let off as soon as he saw it was hopeless, I figure he must of been stock.

The biggest issue you are facing and the most criticism is stemming on the fac yeah, you beat an mp3. But you did it street racing, where kids are killed every year doing the same stuff you videotaped.

The other thing people are giving you greif over is how you abused your mazda by flying it in reverse.

If you are gonna videotape a race to be put onto the web, do it legally, and take it to a track. Before I get a comeback like "we don't have a drag strip, so I gotta use a crowded street" excuse, http://www.missionraceway.com/

yeap...I 100% agree with you. But that time i didn't want to race it just happend... I will try to prevent that in future. Don't tell me about dead bodies and victoms I already know about them and I seen them dead many times (my parents were working at morgue - yes. morgue at age 10 i visited them i went inside morgue by accident...not a good picture there...then after a while I was a witness on murder scene ...fatal scene...some gandgs or whatever killed police man on my eyes.) So bassicly i know what the issues are. I will definatly go at mission race track next time.

Who cares if someone wants to beat thier own car. It's theirs. I beat the living daylights out of my grand am. I had fun doing it too! I run my MP3 hard and it is also fun. Yeah it might be hard on the car, so i'll fix it when it needs.

Street racing is dangerous.. but their are some streets where it isnt that bad. If someone decides to cross a 4 lane road they'll have the same faith if someone is racing down it or not. Common sence is needed here. DONT DO IT IN RESIDENTIAL AREAS!! A track is much more fun anyways.

Didn't see anything wrong with this video. They didn't get very far. Didn't even get going that fast. As far as the parking lot stuff, who cares. They were having fun in an EMPTY lot. Is it any more dangerous than when kids learn to drive in a parking lot or on the street. The parking garage thing was dumb though. That's just really unpredictable with people pulling out and what not.
