Ok guys, I've been thinking....which usually is not good. A few years back, my cousin bought a brand new, hand built and installed, motor for his 88 Ford Bronco. He paid about 3 grand for everything. So I curiously thought, what if O asked them to build me a new MSP Protege motor? It couldn't be much more then 3000 grand, as is it much smaller. But this way, I get a new motor, and turbo, installed for the same price as a turbo kit? So...I know this can't be right. Someone tell me what I am missing here? (attn)

umm, if ur talkin about the msp swap, its been done before on p5s. i no that for a fact. the swap is much more than that. u needt he whole engine with everything, ecu, harnness etc. then u need it installed. i think someone on here paid like 7k for the swap. u should takl to them about it and ask how much it would be

crate build engines usually run for about 3-5 grand, fully build ready to drop in, these engines are more than capable of puttin 500 HP...WHY?
because of supply and demand, they sell these engine like pancakes, proteges don't have the same demand as they do, so the price is higher for us
Just the built engine is going to run you around 3 grand, but then you need to add a turbo kit on top of that so you're looking 6-7 grand.

Oh yeah...you need at least 6 grand and maybe some more for when something goes wrong.
