i installed some new mirrors today and managed to blow out a fuse somewhere for my mirrors.

we got one hooked up and we got it to function with our nifty little door panel controller...

well i got some wires crossed trying to do the mirror on the other side and then all the sudden niether of them worked at all... and the one had just wokred perfectly and the other only was going one way...

so my guess afetr many attempts at redoing the wire is that i blew some kind of fuse... but all the fuses are fine? i checked them all and saw no visible breaks....

so i guess what im syaing is... help!

either check power at pwer mirror switch if none there. you could of blown a trace inside switch. might be a PITA to take apart switch but it's worth a try...

so i found out that it is the switch... which is cool i guess... now i can get a new one... but i need to know... does anyone know which wire is ground on each side? once i find that out i'll be good to give this another shot... and thus far that is all i need to know.... unless i cant find a switch anywhere... then ive got that problem... ha

hey, if it needs a constant ground just grond it some where behind door panel or even one of the mounting screws for the mirror...so i found out that it is the switch... which is cool i guess... now i can get a new one... but i need to know... does anyone know which wire is ground on each side? once i find that out i'll be good to give this another shot... and thus far that is all i need to know.... unless i cant find a switch anywhere... then ive got that problem... ha

that was my plan... but then that adds a free wire to the mix of the three that go into the mirror...

right now i have three wires from the mirror.... green yellow and white. the white is the groud... i found this by hooking it to a 9V battery... ingenius i know.

but i dont know which wire in the door, the ones leading from the control, are the ground, left right, and up down.

but i guess ive got time because i ahve to find a new switch first.

you know it's a LOT easier to just get the wiring diagram than dicking around with this shit and frying shit right?
