how many miles do u have? i would also suggest to rebuild it, but if ur not goin to boost anywhere higher than 7 psi, u should be ok. but if u rebuild it u can only go so high before u blow the block =)

i am at 77k miles and i beat on it daily my oil consuption isnt terrible for burning oil internally. about 1 qt every oil change i have to add which isnt terrible but i was talkin to a friend that knew someone that had the same size turbo on less boost and put down 170 whp on 4 psi so i would have to say i would be pushing 200 range and i think i would feel better puttin rods in it and possible goin a bit higher but not much and leavin it that way..

If you're having those issues, I would say you should go ahead and rebuild it. But if you are going to rebuild it and have a backup vehicle to use in case it pops, go ahead and boost while you are getting a new motor together. Then if it pops, you are already on the way and you would have already got the itch from the boost. Keep it low until youget a new motor.

Unacceptable tony, you are trying to rip off people here, You should tell people the truth about the motor and the car.

MOTOR NEEDS A REBUILD AND POSSIBLY MORE!

probably my fault. I researched a little bit on his car and let certain 'people' know.... as they should know. (pissed)

No not really. Oh maybe:) You know I could deal with a motor that needed to be rebuilt but just the fact that he tried to delete the thread speaks volumes. To be fair there are always two sides to every story, and I would be willing to listen......but deleting the post is very ugly and gives me very bad vibes. The car looks good, interior is clean, most every MP3 has some issues as they are 5 years old, but I think I'll pass on this one.
