How the hell do I turn off the panic alarm?

I was waxing the car today, and something in my pocket apparently pushed the panic button on my remote. The remote only works sporadically, and of course it worked this time. So I tried pushing the unlock and lock buttons on the remote, and also inserted the key into the driver's side door lock and turned it both ways. None of those did anything. So I put the key in the ignition...even started it up. No...horn still sounding.
What I ended up doing was disconnecting the negative battery cable. There has to be another way!

Is that a guess? Or are you asking me if I tried that?

As I said, my remote doesn't work all the time. It's possible that the panic button will turn off the horn, but the button may not have worked.

you could just disconnect the horn, unless you are one of those asses that like to honk at people;)

I always just mash buttons on the remote. Usually with it still im my pocket it takes care of itsself.

But it it happens to not work. IDK I havent found another way to turn it off, remember putting the key into the ignition makes the remote not work, just just smash unlock untill it does.
