sorry for all the dumb questions all the time, dealer wont cover the car, its gonna be like 2000 to fix the lsd, I was thinking about just gettin a rebuilt tranny "Witch me and a buddy could install" from a junk yard around here I can get one for 900, they told me its the complete transmission would that include the lsd?

It should. For $2000, you could get a quaiffe LSD....

A rebuilt tranny, or a junkyard tranny from a different MSP would probably be your best option. Search www.car-part.com (http://www.car-part.com), they sometimes have cheap MSP transmissions as well.

Yea the 2000, is with stock lsd put in I blv it was somthing like 800 for the lsd and 1200 for install.....
My question was, will a used rebuilt tranny come with the lsd?...I asked and they said its a complete tranny..so that includes the lsd correct?

dude honestly, find someone else to do your lsd install you can at least knock off a couple hundred bucks on that or hell try to figure it out yourself, i think theres a tranny take apart how to somewhere on this forum

^^^ I've seen the writeup before as well, the LSD removal and re-installation isn't exactly a walk in the park

I agree but i think its worth saving $1200

I can get a used tranny for 600....I might just buy that and install the hole tranny unless I can get a lsd on here cheaper

Thats about right, it cost me about 1800 to get mine fixed. Just buy a tranny out of a p5 and run with an open differential, then it can't break again.

yeah but then delivery to the ground will suck ass which is why most high powered turbo p5 owners put the quaife in. the lsd is needed.
