Who all has these installed? I just got mine put on last night and I love the drop but there's a lot of rubbing when going around corners. It seems to be a little more than 1.5" but the ride is still comfy so I'm happy with them. I guess I simply wanna know if anyone else besides me has issues with rubbing, because I didn't think that should be an issue. Also, I have Illuminas on the front, stock on back, and AWR endlinks all around. Tires are 205/45/17 on 17x7 American Eagle MSR rims (+40 mm offset).
Input would be appreciated.

I've got 'em, but haven't installed 'em yet. I'm running 205/40/17's on 48mm offset 17x7 wheels. I hope to get them installed soon, and will reply again then.

I also have these springs but haven't got to install them yet, mainly because of this rubbing issue I've read about. Do you think new struts would help, or is it just a case of you get what you pay for? This really sux cause I don't want to put them on, then they rub and I take them off. I have 205/45/16 on aftermarket 16in rims with a 42mm offset. I need to get motivated and just put them on. Good luck, I hope they work out for you cause they were a great deal and the drop looks great.

i have had them for about a month or so. i have 205/40/17's 42 mm offset with stock struts.
they definately dropped my rear more than 1.5" it was actually closer to 2". the front dropped about 1.5" though.
i rubbed in the rear like no other, especially on the passenger side, mostly b/c of my offset i'm pretty sure. i dont have the $$ for new wheels w/ the right specs, so a quick rolling of the fenders took care of my problem, no rubbing at all now, even w/ a couple passengers and my sub box.

its your offset dude, if ur fronts dont rub with the drop, than just try camber on the back, im running 18" with +40mm and some camber bolts should do the trick :)

Isn't that gonna kill my tires really fast? I'd rather spend a little extra now than have to spend $400 every year for new tires. But if it doesn't affect it then I'll consider it.

ya, they lowered the rear more than the front, which evens it out very well since the back sat up a little higher originally

Im looking into rolling the rears toward the end of the summer, either that or getting some wide body fenders custom made, but that could end up costing a lot..

How are your tires holding up?
Did you install it yourself?

thanks! sorry for the late reply, i was in vegas for the weekend(drinks) (drinks) (drinks) (drinks) (drunk) (drunk) (drunk) (drunk) (drunk) (cheers) (cheers) (beer) (drinks) (drunk)
i didnt need a camber kit/ guess it depends on your offset though. i did rub on the rear pass side but aftter the fender rolling no problms at all. since then, no probs with the tires. yes i installed them myself. although i have a buddy that works at a shop so i had a lift and airtools, though it'd be perfectly possible without them, you'll need a spring compressor. as far as weight, you should be fine, i have my sub enclosure and have had 3 passengers in the car with me with no rub so...dont think the kids'll be an issue
to sum up: they look rad!!!! get them and throw them on!!!!

The ride is wonderful in my opion. Definately the smoothest ride I've ever experience in a lowered car. I think you'll like them, as long as your wheels don't rub...

Yea those things SUCK! I had to get new endlinks altogether after taking off my Skunk2s. You can only take the stock links off and put them back on about twice and after that it's pretty much impossible to get them off again. I ended up cutting my stock ones to get them off and just got some AWR adjustables. Stock links were $100 for a whole set and AWR were $140 but they're a million times easier to work with.

My front struts were blown within the first year I had them on and the ride was bouncy that I would sometimes hit my head on the ceiling when going over a dip in the highway. If you don't do autocross or anything of that sort I would recommend lowering springs personally, as you will have that lowered look without sacrificing ride comfort AS much.
What wheels are those and whats the offset?
American Eagle Alloys 17x7
MSR Series
Style 105
Offset: +40mm
Don't work with the lowering springs too well due to offset so I took them off yesterday cuz I don't have time to try to make them work. Sick of rubbing too ...
Thanks for the compliments too! (friday)
yeah the wheels Ima get are going to be the right offset so I wont have to worry about rubbing.
But They ride great the springs...awesome

This may work as a short term fix, but doing it the right way will be cheaper in the long run. The guy I just bought mine P5 from did this to escape the rubbing issue. I didn't notice the rolled fenders during my pre-buy inspection of the car. Once I got it home and set to giving it a thorough detail, THE best way to get acquainted with your car and keep an eye out for problems, I noticed the fenders. The other thing I noticed was how rolling the fenders cracked the clearcoat on the paint leaving a place for water to get in. I can see that in certain areas the water is already doing it's work in separating the clearcoat from the paint. NOT good. I don't plan to have this car long enough for this to be an issue, but for those of you that do I would advise against this procedure unless you have the money to have the wheel areas resprayed.
EDIT: I think the guy did this when he had the drop with stock wheels, because I can't see any way the IKON/Yokohama combo on there now would have rubbed on the fender. I am running 205-40-17s on IKON GT5 wheels. Great combo on the P5 by the way.
