Anyone have a good estimation of avg. brake life (normal driving conditions) of an '03 manual ES with 48k miles? Brakes are stock, and from what I'm told, they are original. How much life do you think is left, if any?

well it depends on many factors,if you do more city driving than highway, your brakes are going to last shorter because of the stop and go,for me i changed them at 70000km,so about 35-40k miles...i am almost all the time on the highway, with a bit of city,so the best advice i would give you, check them out,and see whats left on them...its hard to tell just like that....

True that. Well the car in question is about 960 miles away, so I'd have to use a good judgement call.

All of that is now a moot point however, as that seller rejected my offer. The car I really do want to buy though is also over 1k miles away, but I feel good about its condition. So hopefully we can make that happen.

Thanks for your thoughts.

It's almost DONE. I changed my only pads at 50K, rotors are still OK
