Does anyone here have a Perrin ram air intake, or has anyone heard any positive or negative comments about this intake?

It's a neat idea, but not only does it make your motor look like it has an erection, but I'd really like to see a CAI version of it made, like they did for the SRT-4.

Well I ordered mine back in early February from ApexR1 . . . . . . and cancelled my order about 2 weeks ago. Not Apex's fault, Perrin had some kind of problem with the piping they received for the kits so nothing has shipped for awhile (at least thats what I was told).

I really wanted this kit and after I get an engine installed + my Unichip.... This will be my next purchase. CAI kits are nice, but I'd rather feel secure driving in the rain rather than watching for deep puddles. August around here will dump a few inches of water in an hour.

Well, unless you have an upgraded SMIC or FMIC a SRI isn't going to be netting you very much HP. After the stock SMIC heat soaks, that intake won't be helping much pulling hot air from right next to the manifold and behind the radiator fans.

Can't deny that, man. A new SMIC is possibly the next one in-line after the Perrin SRI.

I'm just a little paranoid. After my motor throwing a rod, I really can't afford to risk it. Punk-ass FS motors.

He's posted random advertisements in like four threads today. They sponsor the site with ads, and make great products but can we cut back on the CAPS LOCK random posts?

There's other lengthy threads about this part.... There were some reviews worth reading about it though. I recall some concerns with it.

We carry those for $179.99 for anyone interested.
