i noticed that too, i am guessing they just mounted some headlights to disguise the real ones....just my guess though

they cammo everything up there. ive seen bailing wire used to hold tail lights on cars, fake extra exhaust pipes that were pop riveted to fake plastic pieces, etc. from the looks of it, looks the same really. judging by the width of the doors and the distance from the a to b and c pillars its doesn't look that different. maybe a mid year restyle thing, change the front end kinda crap.

my cousin lives in farmington and we troll the roads on weekends when im up there. got shots of the ford gt about seven months pre release, my only claim to fame. amazing that you can fill up a 512 mb memory card on a single saturday up there.

from what i've seen mazda uses older model bodies as thier camo. IIRC the CX-7 was camo'd as a MPV. notice the fender flare thats just tacked on. shows that the next 6 will be wider or at least the track will be wider. and if you look at another pic the gas tank door has a bump to it probably where the body panel of the 6 will come out to. i dont know if i make sense. its just hard for me to put into words whats in my head.

The main body lines look the same. It will probably be like the Accord "refresh". Tweak the front and back ends, everything inbetween stays the same. I don't really like the 6 anyhow. My mom has one, and I find it uninspired. Not nearly as fun to drive as my P5.
