Any issues with this setup? I know it'll push things out a bit, but I won't have to roll fenders, etc, will I? This setup will be autocrossed regularly and want to make sure I'm not going to have any rubbing issues.
My second choice rim is a +45 offset.
Thanks a lot.

+42's pushing it, especially if the car's lowered. prolly be better to go with +45.

It's not lowered, in any way, though I'd be slightly concerned with rubbing under maximum cornering, i.e. autocross. I'm just wondering if I can get away with it.
It's the maximum change in offset that I can run and still be in stock class. Plus it widens the track. I'd love to do it if I was sure I'd be okay.
Hmmm. Thanks for the input.

What series tire?
Stock 215/45/17
Stock 215/45/17
Its going to be really close with those tires. If you did a 215/40/17 you'd be ok i think

Yeah, thanks. I just ordered another set with a +45 offset. FIgured I'd play it on the safer side.
Not a bad deal either. Flik FTD's at Edgeracing.com for $79 per. Using them as an Autocross wheel. 17lbs each in a 17x7 configuration.

$79 a wheel? nice, i like that website, i got my tires through them.
I just saw those and they are sweet! I wonder how much it would cost me to powdercoat those...

I just got those for my silver MSP. I love them except for the deep lug holes. You'll get a free set of lugs with them.
I wonder how long those will be on sale for...

I figured they'd include lug nuts...
I know a guy who had rims powdercoated for $70 per rim or something around there. Not too bad.
The rims are part of a "Spring Fling" Sale, so I'd imagine they'll be up for a few more weeks. I was psyched. $358 for 4 shipped to my door!

They'll definitely fit. I had some +43et 17x7 Ace Arius wheels w/ 215/45/17 tires on my car and I was dropped on espelir springs and still had enough clearance. You should be fine with the Ftd's. Here are the 17x8 +45et Ftd's on my car...nice wheels for the price. I also included a pic with the +43et wheels I had.

im highly considering these :
5zigen Fn01r-c (bronze)
17x7 15.5lbs 42 offset
$188 a piece which is a pretty good deal
i personally like the sorta deep set look on rims which the stockers lack
let me know what you think on a black mica msp

I like them, but not in that color.....just not a huge fan of the bronze, but the only ones they do look decent on are the black micas

stock is 17x7 +45 offset right? so a +42 offset is a whole 3 mm difference right?

True, but that puts the end of the tire under the fender well lip. You risk rubbing under extreme suspension compression... That's what had me worried enough to post here...
For daily driving, it's probably fine. Autocrossing, might be a problem.

actually, I think stock is closer to 50mm offset, with stock suspension and the wheels I have had no rubbing issues....I'll let you know after the springs get on if that causes any issues
