The new special edition Fiesta Freedom offers a technology package to customers that will allow them to drive a stylish car and live out their 21st century lifestyle.

A limited number of Ford Fiesta Freedom drivers will benefit from 800GBP worth of the equipment to make mobile phone calls, use satellite navigation and control the stereo without taking their hands off the wheel or their eyes off the road.
Mark Ovenden, marketing director, Ford of Britain, said: "Mobile phone use has increased dramatically in Britain in the last five years and this generation wants connectivity in all areas of their life. Fiesta Freedom is the ultimate hands-free accessory and I'm sure there will be plenty of buyers who decide to take the long route home while they enjoy flicking around their CD collection or having an extra chat – without lifting a finger.
"Vodafone is a natural partner for the small car that most people choose in Britain's car dealerships. With more than 13 million customers in the UK, Vodafone too are well placed to provide the most up to date product for customers who want an excellent product with a stylish look."
Fiesta Freedom is a 1.25 or 1.4, three- or five- door model with 800GBP worth of the latest technology, available for the first time in a small Ford car: Bluetooth technology to handle phone calls, voice control for radio channel and CD track selection.
Retail customers who sign up to the special deal with Vodafone, which costs from 25GBP per month, get a G3 Nokia N70 phone, cradle and Tom Tom Mobile 5 satellite navigation that is viewed through the phone, to be used inside or outside of the car.
On the exterior too, Fiesta Freedom is special. It has unique 15" alloy wheels, heated body-coloured mirrors, body-coloured door and tailgate handles, front fog lights, unique 'Freedom' badge on the tailgate and comes with a choice of 12 colours.
Other special touches are remote central double locking, remote tailgate release, electric front windows, rear spoiler, leather steering wheel with aluminium trim and silver trim on dashboard.
There will be just 2500 Fiesta Freedom models in Britain, on sale from 1 April 2006.
-- Latest voice, mobile phone, satellite navigation & music technology included in Fiesta Freedom special edition
-- Includes latest G3 mobile phone & cradle when signing an exclusive deal with Vodafone
-- Latest satellite navigation comes with Vodafone option
-- Thousands of MP3 tracks can be listened to inside the car
-- Choice of two engines and two bodystyles priced from 8.845GBP -- Limited edition - just 2.500 available

Why not? This is 100% better and sells well in Europe. My aunt use to drive a Fiesta back in the early 80s and that was a piece of junk.

I think Ford would be pretty smart to bring that car here, but not so smart to call it the Fiesta in this market.

Hey wait a tick, the car isn't in gear and the parking brake is on. She's not really driving anywhere.
