Chrome peeling off the Key

Is anyone experiencing the chrome peeling off the back of the key? I'm thinking about taking it back to the dealer. My wife is experinceing the same thing... thanks....(pissed)

You mean the actual ignition key? It peels? Wow. I've just never heard of keys peeling, mine's fine.

Actually my Protege5 key is peeling a little bit, I'll see if I can take a pic. it'll be crap cameraphone quality though because I'm in class.

wow the picture totally sucks.

yeah there's the normal wear and tear where you can see the underlying metal, but on the flat face of the middle of the key, there is some flaking action going on.

Of course, my car is a 2002.5 so it is to be expected :)
