The concept looked great, but the production is much boxier. They really killed all of the curves that the concept had.

mikeyb

Most Nissans do not have many curves.

We will have to wait and see if Nissan brings out the 3 door hatch. There is no Civic Si or Scion tC competitor in Nissan's lineup.

I would like to see the Azeal come out.

The Azeal looks like a car that was meant to hint at the upcoming Sentra's styling.

I think the Azeal will be more than likely be the next SE-R/Spec V since the front end is the same as the 07 Sentras.

When I first saw the concept for the versa I was really excited but the production version looks like a smaller edgier matrix and makes me think...(notcool)

The tuner versions are a big improvement...Just too bad it looks do "dinky" in stock form.

I think you're right about the Azeal. Maybe a coupe version of the Sentra will come out so that Nissan can enter the RSX/Tiburon/Eclipse/whateverelse market.

The azeal headlights, taillights, and a few other things definitely went into the design of the Sentra.

I'm still very bitter though, because the Nissan Sport Concept (the concept pic that mikeyb posted) got me soo excited about the direction of future Nissan design. I would buy it in a heartbeat. I was hoping the translation to production model would have just meant slightly smaller wheels, less exotic seats, and no CF on the body.

I would be there to trade in my Protege5 on the first day it came out if they hadn't killed it.

I'm still hoping they come out with a 3-door SE-R model and make it look VERY close to the look of the sport concept. :( The Sport Concept will live on as my desktop wallpaper.

No this is a Renualt that shares the same chassis as the Nissan Versa.

Is it still mid-engined?

*edit*
Nevermind, the vents in the front fenders and the hood release lever suggest they moved it to the front.

only the Clio V6 was mid engine. They're not offering that layout in the new generation Clios....sad sad day
