Just buy some HIDS man.

100w halogens < HIDS Ten times over.

So I just got a Ti Grey 2006 Mazda 3 Auto S-touring. I was wondering if our headlights are projectiles, and if I can get those after-market bulbs that are different in colour ie. "purple" and are brighter. If so that can tie me over until I have enought $$ for HIDS

ANY of those colored bulbs will reduce visibility.

Having a projector with halogens wont give that flickering blue\purple color, even after adding HIDS on halogen projectors doesnt have that same effect. The cutoff on the OEM HID projectors is sharper.

It is possible to do some modifications to the stock projectors to give it some color at the cutoff, but you won't get the flickering color when seen from different angles. It just has to do with the optics of this light, and it's not designed to do that.

I second to not waste your money on "purple" bulbs. They're give you less usable light, will probably burn out quickly, and are just a waste of your money. Just get some HIDs.

you can get an aftermarket HID kit for about 250 and includes everything you need.
I highly recommend them.

Will these modifications improve the cutoff? For some reason the cutoff of my headlights is really crappy... it almost look as if it not with projectors. Is there any way to fix that or is there a diff. between the 04 and + models. I don't have HIDs but on many cars I have seen a a really nice cutoff that dont have HIDs ???
