View Full Version : Rattle noise?

Okay I dont know where to post because I dont know whats causing the noise...I have a rattle noise that seems to be comming from the right side of the engine bay or front passenger side tire? i dont know but its annoying it sounds like a metal on metal vibration noise? any idea on what this could be?....... It started about 2-3 weeks after i put on new rotorworks rotors and goldline springs if that helps!

hmm... i think it may either be a motor mount or your fender is rattling cuz something is loose... also check to make sure your springs aren't rattling with the engine...

check those three things and if its not than i dunno wat it is...

When does it make the noise? I've had the same problem for a few months now. I too have goldline springs and now that i think about it the noise came around after i had the springs installed.

uneven roads and at certain rpms! I hope its not the motor mounts but oh well...Im having the mazdaspeed tech look at it on thursday to figure it out!

Yeah, let me know. I just noticed that you are from modesto. I use to live in manteca, but i stay in tracy now.

Tracy is hella close... yeah ill let you know what he finds... i was also thinking maybe its bushings?

well i went to the dealer and he found exactly nothing not a god damn thing that was causing the rattle can noise from up front!!! GR am I supposed to live with this Fucking noise for the rest of my life!!! I dont know if I wanna start buying bushings and motor mounts to see if they fix it cause thatll get costly on me!

These cars seem to have tons of rattles. Not so well built. Fun to drive, but could have been built better. Just turn up the music.

I'll be putting in my Ksports some time soon. If the rattle goes away after the install, maybe then you can pin the noise to your goldline springs.

yeah that might just be it...Im starting to think it might be exhaust related but I dont know i wish i could be under my car as it was going down the road!

I just started to get that noise too. But i have no aftermarket wheels, suspension, springs or anything. So wtf is it? motor mount is my guess?
