Ok the past owner of my car got the seats a little dirty and I want to do a complete clean on them when the weather warms up here soon. What is the best way to do this with the fabric on the seats?
We have a Bissel steam cleaner with all the hand attachments orr something else by hand.. anyone know anything to get out dirt and stains and bring out the seats again?
I don't want to start scrubbing because that might scuff the fabric and make marks.
thankss :)

your bissel hand cleaner might be a good way to go if you don't want to take the covers off. Maybe some kind of handheld steam cleaner might work.
Otherwise, the best way is to take the covers off the seats and throw them in the washing machine.

Go ahead and throw them in the washing machine......(boom07) ....Not sure ,but have you ever tried to was a pillow (like a couch pillow) or Pillow cover from one....They never seem to look or fit the same...I guess if you washed in cold water and maybe didnt dry them(air dry) it might be ok...but who knows...Anyone actually ever washed their seat covers?

Ok, well throw it in the dryer with one of those dry cleaning things.
Mine need some cleaning as well. The leather seats in the P5 are obviously a snap, but I'm no expert when it comes to fabric cleaning, so I may give a detailer a call and kick dowwn the $50 - $60 bucks to ensure I don't screw things up. I've used a local guy in the past that made my wife's new beetle's light (reeaally light - as in looks dope, but what the hell were we thinking) tan interior look new.

You'd be better off going to a local car wash...paying 50 bucks or so to get your seats and carpets shampoed

are the seats (bolsters) not suede or are they some fake material
edit: nevermind i read they are "suede like" but i did find this for Alcantara a suede like material.

I just wipe mine down with a damp cloth. I use Zep carpet shampoo on the material section. The still look brandnew.
Give your a good vacuum first and try to wipe them down. If that doesn't work, try some mild soap on the psedo suede.

i used a steam cleaner several months ago and it worked nicely, however my seat mesh is starting to tear in places.
