Reverse Glow Gauges

Does anyone know a good replacement for the stock guage faces? Either reverse glow or EL lighting. I've been looking around and it seems like they're all really cheap.

Have you seen the reverse glow gauges on www.speedhut.com? You can custom make them. They're really cool from what I've seen though.

well i dont have a protege but i have them on my zx2 i could get a good night pick. their white with the numbers glowing red. i didnt have any probs installing at all. i did however pay $80 total. if u want to know how to splice in the guages let me know.

quick question does the msp have automatic lights or manual switch on?

MSP has manual lights. But basically I just wanted to see the reverse glow blue with white faces and blue font. Anyways, basically just wanted a day and night picture of what they look like. The ones I wanted to get are like, 104 or something like that. They're the reverse EL with some custom logos and whatnot.

I basically want the ones that are just like those. They have multiple Colors, usually red in the center in a ring and then blue lettering and lines, and a white face. I don't know what they're called but that's what I'm looking for lol.

Edit: Something similar to that for the speed, but maybe with red in the center instead of blue.

They are kind of a pain to put in.... But what isn't? :shrug: I haven't done them in a Protege before, I did a set of silver w/ reverse blue in my RX-7 a few years back however.

The stock MSP ones look great. That's why I had those MSP replica ones made a few years back. All the white and lines and extra colors and all that stuff just cheapens the look of the interior so much IMO.

I like the stock MSP gauges, but I think if these were done right they would look really nice. I was looking at the megan boost, oil pressure, and a/f gauges and I think they would look really good with something of that nature.

and yes they work i tested them.

basically whatu get is the white background lights up to a bluish green color.
the numbers are black.

also they have been cut so that u don't snap your needles during install.

I have no idea. I can't imagin them being hard to install. But since i've already installed guage rings i can take apart my gauge in mins. And what i did to test them was. I had already ran a pair wires off of the dimmer switch to my gauges. So all i had to do was to T of those wires to test it.
