I'm contemplating selling the 'SonicSpeed' now. I am interested in a new project to peruse. The vehicle has quite a few upgrades all around the car. I have a had a blast driving, showing, racing, etc for the past couple years. I purchased the car new from Bernie Bishop Mazda in Oregon. I have taken good care of it and done most all the upgrades myself.
The vehicle has been used for a number of R&D type projects including CorkSport 'PowerSeries' product line, Unichip EMS, etc.
The vehicle has been shown at HIN in Mazda's (headliner sponsor) booth, and also had a few cameo shots in various magazines. Images have been also used on SpeedHut's website. Future coverage will include HIN this season and MazdaSport Magazine (feature car).
I have a good idea of what my car is worth and what I want for it. I will not be able to sell for a little time still and just trying to get a feel for the market. If you are interested please message me about pricing. Serious inquiries only

I really want my race vehic to be a wagon.
However, if I can find, and I have lots of dealers looking, a 94 SC300, or a 94ish sx240 (s14), I will do just that, keep the p5 street, and play with the other. However, these cars seem hard to come by.

I get near dealer cost on new Mazdas from my current guy.
If I got an RX-8 it would have to be Titanium, sunroof, and the black/red leather interior. I tried to find one used before, it was near impossible. So I'd probably have to order from the factory to get what I wanted.

I've done the Mazda thing for about 6 years... If I get another one it will be an RX-8. I don't hate my car by any means, I just want something a little better. I don't see a 3 as much of an upgrade really (even though the MS3 seems pretty frickn nuts). I'm wanting a higher end car that's either AWD or RWD. If that doesnt happen I'll just keep what I have now.
I wish Mazda had more options for me... I have a lot of Mazda type insignia throughout my house and garage which I would like to keep and have have a purpose. :D

Not too sure, but I found one in my area for sale, so I am going to go test drive it soon. Definately looking forward to it. A Top Gear video of the EVO VIII said the same thing, that it has a horrible interior, but could you compare it to the MSP?

I guess you can't compare it cause of the suspension and motor but I just don't know, I can still break the law in all but 2 of the gears in my car and the interior is way nicer than the EVO. The dash just kills me. Also the fact that Mitsu could pull out of the US any year now.

The STi gagues alone make the interior way nicer than the EVO. Seats, door panals just add to it.

[QUOTE=HorsepowerFreak]That does not work.QUOTE]
Well thats how he bought it. It's 3inch turboxs turboback with the 2.5inch Prodrive axleback instead of the turboxs axleback. the guy wanted a more stock look and sound so that's why he went prodrive axleback. It is kinda stupid to get 3inch and finish it off with a smaller pipe. My friend wants to change it though.
How can people say sti is not good looking! I think it's much more aggressive looking than the evo. It's kinda got a muscle look to it. And it sounds so much better than the evo.
UnNaturalinc
06-02-2006, 04:12 PM
Turboback means it goes from the turbo all the way back. ie, downpipe, midpipe, and cat-back.
Turboback implies everything from the turbo back. If there's a different catback or axleback on it then no longer is the other part the same brand of turboback.

No crap, but you should get what I was saying from what I wrote. There is no such thing as turboaxleback so...
Turboback TO THE axleback it's just easier saying then ie, downpipe, midpipe, and cat-back, bla bla bla Let's gets back on subject.
UnNaturalinc
06-02-2006, 04:47 PM
It becomes individual pieces then. The turbo back doesn’t go anywhere besides to the back of the car. A turboback cannot mate to any other part, it is everything. You can generically say "turboback" which would refer a full system after the turbo, but once you start naming companies it's to the specific parts only.
I only correct this because improper use of terminology makes my job as a parts salesman very hard. :)

Another idea I had was to sell the Protege and put most of the money into my FC. I think I could fully restore that thing and have a pretty badace setup.

with evo it's not if u use it to the limits....it's the drive feel.
sti's feel is more sloppy compared to evo's....even if u're not at the limit in both cars.
interior-wise, MSP has better interior than evo. that is true.

Same here, I didn't like the new STI at all when I first saw it. I have seen it in person a few times now and I really like it! I think the best color for the 06 is the steel gray metallic. My favorite color for the older years is white. As for the interior I really didn't care for the evo's interior look compared to the STI. The STI's interior is more aggressive and have more appeal IMHO. I would recommend driving both of them a couple of times before you may final decision. I guess you really can't go wrong!

What the heck is a freeze flug?
Generally people who blow motors of turbo motors are people who don't know what they're doing and just boost the crap out of it. Just like a lot of the MSP guys were doing. Well, and still doing. Most will not admit to it though.
There's absolutely nothing wrong on a big scale with the EVO motors.

Freeze plug is a plug in the block so that if the antifreeze in the block freezes and expands these plugs pop out first instead of cracking the block. I heard a few guys had these pop out while driving and do some damage. Im sure they were prob boosting too high tho on a stock motor.
