He was spelling them wrong, that's all.
's does not make a word plural, and I have to bring this up every once and a while because it bothers me.

I have these on my '92 MR2 (notorious for eating rear tires up). I love em. They are decently priced and IMO are pretty darn sticky. The tread wear is not bad. It might be a little faster than some but like I said "not bad."
I'd say that they are a good if not great buy.
Hope that helps,
Jeremy

Man, last time I checked I wasn't writing my thesis on Falken tires. Take away the 's after the "FK-451" and read it again. It doesn't flow as well. That 's is for readability, i.e. It makes it easier to read. In a post like this it is more beneficial to the reader to type as one would speak. So don't hate bud. And by the way, this thread was about Falken FK-451 tires, so stay on topic. (first) <--- here ya go!

How is it easier to read when the first time I read it I thought the FK-451 tires own something?

The FK-451 is a dual compound tread. Once they get down to like 4/32 they have the same rubber compound as Falken Azenis. That's how Tom Hoppe won STX at Nationals 2 years ago, before Falken was making the Azenis in any sizes that would work good on the WRX. He was the only one running shaved FK-451s and he dominated.

Yeah, well i'm hoping they will work out well on my MSP, the snow is finally melting out here, so i'm eager to get the summers back on.

Falken FK-451 tires. I am inquiring about these tires, and if anyone has them, or has had them in the past, and if they can give me their review on the tire. I just put my deposit down today on them, so I am asking for any last minute feed back.

yeah good luck with them, although they don't seem to be favorable in the snow, and i know this might be of some concern to you since you live in canada. personally i balded the fuck out of my potenzas to the point where you could see metal coming out of the tires. they sucked then, and sucked when they were brand new for the winters. i ended up getting the bfgoodrich kdw (not the weird design one, i think kdw2). handled a lot better in the rain and snow.

they are categorized as ultra high performance summer, which is true, but it was fine for me in the winter

I had them on the MSP for a while and I loved them .They were 225/45/17's and I had no rubbing issues at all. On backroads they were great, at the track they were pretty good, and normal driving excellent. I didnt have them on the car long enough to get down to the sticky tread b.c I traded those wheels and tires for my old slipstreams, which I wish I hadnt now.

That's really wild. I've never heard of such a thing. What a neat trick. I'm guessing the Azenis are a stickier compound?
If Tire Rack sells them they should have them in the review/feedback section. It can be really helpful in evaluating tires. Also, either SCC or Super Street did a decent tire comparison last month or the month before and I remember seeing at least one Falken in there. Sorry, but I can't remember which mag for sure.
FWIW, now I know I'm not the only one anal retentive about proper spelling. However, on this forum it's hard to make any real headway in improving it and it usually causes more problems than it's worth to try and police it. That said, I will also sometimes use an apostrophe after certain names or acronyms for clarity when indicating plurality...sometimes. I keep it pretty clear as to when possession is indicated and when it's not. The headaches begin when peeps use the apostrophe with everything plural. (thumb)

Yeah, agreed on the potenza's, they were horrible. They balded extremely fast. I already have winter tires, so i'm not going to be using these in snow. I was told with ultra high performance tires, and especially the Potenza's, frequent rotation is key, so i'm going to be rotating every 3500-4000kms.

Yeah, and we can make everyone hate us in the process! We do need a sticky for commonly misspelled/misused words though. For example, "loose" and "lose". That one bugs me the worst.
Okay, I'm done. My apologies for contributing to the threadjack.
