Either paint it, or paint the center of the hood black. Definitely improves the look of the car, the grille is nice.

i say you get a carbon fiber hood and then paint the outsides, leaving the center black. BC31 here has done it i think, and it looks awesome.
Welcome to the forum.

why we're on the subject of grills, has anyone seen any nice clean ones for the hatchback? or carbonfiber ones, for that matter?

for sure, get rid of the side moldings and paint the center of your hood to match

i dunno bout painting the center of the hood, as i really like the body color grille that tony zoomzoom has, but the family sedan side molding are coming off when its nice out, and it has either been sucking on my days off or im at work and its nice outside. im hoping for this weekend though, along with my prokit!!!

Although I have a Protege, painting my hood was one of the best decisions I ever made regarding the looks of the car. That alone gets me more compliments than anything else. A lot of people ask if someone designed the car, but I just tell them that it was something that I though enhanced the look of it. To me its like something Foose would do to a car; subtle, but it gets attention.

Those should give you a good enough idea of what im talking about. Also, when I painted mine, I didn't just use a standard black, but the Brilliant Black Mica that they use on most Mazda vehicles. It has a silver/blue/green metallic, but at a distance ive had people mistake it for CF. PM me if you've got any questions.

thats hot.
if i get a grill i would probably keep it stock color but this is a very good alternative.

unique and hot! kudos! might be a lil much of a commitment for me, kind of a once you start, no turning back situation, but looks great on yours...thanks for the input!
