Take off dash

Help Please! I am looking to upgrade my stereo system starting with the radio. Does anyone know how to get the dash apart?

if your planning to upgrade your radio you should have the metra dash kit--it has instructions on how to remove the radio.

make shure before you yank the radio out the dash the 10 mm bolt(access from removed glovebox with 10 mm deep socket or regular 10 mm socket and extention) is removed or you will damage the motherboard forever. also while you have the glove box off inspect or replace the hvac filter :) I found leaves and other random items left behind by nature.

I don't think he intends to take the whole dash out I think he means the radio surround and is stuck where the hvac controls connect to the levers.

If you are refering to the mazda 03-05 the face and radio is together and is held on by a hidden 10mm bolt. I can't confirm for the new 6 since I haven't been as hands on as the pevious years.
